Installation 18.04 impossible d'accéder à windows comme avant
Après l'installation par clef USB de la version 18.04 impossible d'accéder à windows comme avant, le grub ne n'en donne plus le choix. Comment faire pour avoir à nouveau ce choix.

tape dans un terminal la commande suivante :
sudo update-grub
Est-ce que Windows apparaît dans la liste une fois cette commande lancé ?

Désolé mais on ne peux pas t'aider si tu ne donne pas + de détail.
Il te suffit de copier/coller le contenu du terminal ici.
Sinon une fois avoir tapé la commande tu reboot et tu verras bien si Windows 10 apparaît comme choix au démarrage.

Il te faut d'abord faire
sudo os-prober
si win apparait dans le resultat, alors tu fais
sudo update-grub
Sinon tu nous fais un boot-info depuis ton buntu installé (voir la doc). T'as p'tete écrasé windows qui sait ?

Ok, t'as installé 1804 en mode EFI sur le ssd.
Or sur le HD, t'as win et 1604 en mode legacy, pour cette raison la 1804 ne peut voir win (mais ta 1604 oui !!).
Il te faut installer la 1804 aussi en legacy, mais pour ce faire :
1) booter le support d'installe en legacy
2) réaménager le ssd -> table gpt en ms-dos OU créer une partition non-formaté de 1Mo avec drapeau boot-bios

Excuse moi, la seule chose que j'ai compris c'est que mon windows est toujours dans la machine.
Que veut dire
1) booter le support d'installe en legacy ? Dois remettre ma clef et recommencer l'install, comment le faire en legacy ?
2) réaménager le ssd -> table gpt en ms-dos OU créer une partition non-formaté de 1Mo avec drapeau boot-bios. Qu'est-ce le "ssd" ? la table gpt en ms_dos, ...
Tu vois, tu as vraiment à faire à un super nul !! Pour que m'en tire il va falloir me guider pas à pas .

Effectivement, bien vu de la part de Lucmars.
geirnaert17 tu ne peux pas mélanger des systèmes EFI et Legacy, c'est soit l'un soit l'autre.
Etant donné que la majorité sont en Legacy (ton Windows et ton Ubuntu 16.04), le plus rapide est donc de réinstaller ton Ubuntu 18.04 en Legacy avec ce que t'a donné Lucmars comme info.

Oulà...
Faut chercher sur internet quand tu ne connais pas un terme, c'est trop long à expliquer mais c'est quelque chose que tu dois connaitre surtout que c'est pas spécifique à Linux, tous le monde est concerné.

En tout cas t'as déjà fait un dual-boot en legacy sur ton HD (à moins qu'une personne l'ai faite pour toi)
Bon, legacy aussi nommé "hérité" ou "csm", bref non-efi, cela se règle dans le bios de ton pc.
Aussi, sais-tu accéder à ton bios, et si oui, y comprends tu quelque chose ?
Car, pour faire une installe en mode efi OU non-efi, il faut que ta clef/dvd (ton support) boot selon le-dit mode voulu, et cela se regle dans le bios.
Mais là, ton bios boot ton support en mode efi. Donc, on en revient à ma question ci-dessus (en gras).

J'ai trouvé que legacy se disait de logiciel dépassés plus mis à jour, j'ai aussi trouvé un logiciel legacy .
Mais je n'ai pas vu comment réinstaller ubuntu 18.04 en legacy !
Si quelqu'un voulait m'éclairer je pourrai, peut-être enfin résoudre mon problème.

J'arrive à accéder à mon bios, mais dans la rubrique Boot j'ai deux lignes l'une UEFI boot, l'autre PXE Rom.
Je n'y ai pas vu de lecacy, mais peut être est-ce ailleurs dans mon bios?
J'ai fait tout seul comme un grand un dual-boot que je pensais être un boot-info donc si je suis bien guidé je devrai pouvoir me mettre en non efi (PXE ?).
Merci d'avance pour vos effort à me sortir de mon problème.

Ah là là !
PXE Rom n'a rien à voir et n'actives pas cela.
Donc il te faut fouiller ailleurs dans le bios.
les mot-clef du non-efi sont : legacy, hérité ou csm. Ce peut-etre aussi "maintenance d'ancien système".

J'ai enfin trouvé un "legacy USB" dans advanced marqué "enable"
Que dois-je faire maintenant ? Mettre disable à UEFI et PXE (il y est déjà).
Il y t il quelque chose à faire pour désinstaller 18.04 ?

Oui désactive l'uefi
Puis tu boot ta clef, d'abord tu essaies et tu passes cette commande
[ -d /sys/firmware/efi ] && echo "Session EFI" || echo "Session non-EFI"
si elle retourne session non-efi alors c'est ok, sinon il faut voir dans le bios.
Sous cette session, tu lances gparted avec lequel tu sélectionne ton ssd (ne te trompes pas avec ton hd !).
Là t'as deux soluces :
- la plus simple, t'appliques une table de partition ms-dos à ton ssd et cela effacera tout.
cela fait, tu quittes ta session ; tu reboot sur ta clef et là t'installe sur tout le disque (veilles à ce que l'installateur vises bien le ssd !)
- moins simple, tu supprimes tes partoches 1804, puis tu crées une partition non-formaté de 1Mo à laquelle tu donneras le drapeau (flag) boot-bios
cela fait, tu quittes ta session ; tu reboot sur ta clef et là t'installe en choisissant le mode "autre chose";
de là tu sélectionnes ton ssd, tu crées une partition racine "/" sur tout l'espace non-alloué; début de disque, type primaire

le boot se fait 1 ubuntu
2 disque dur
3 cd

Essaies chaque port usb et tu vérifies le mode de boot avec la commande.
Si aucun des ports usb ne passe en legacy, alors ton bios est p'tete buggé, ou bien il faut comprendre son fonctionnement
