Impossible d'ouvrir ma session Ubuntu
Bonjour à tous,
Après avoir écumé (réellement) le net et plus particulièrement le fofo, je n'ai toujours pas réussi à régler mon souci.
Problème: Suite à une maj de mon Ubuntu 14.04, impossible d'afficher quoi que ce soit à part des icônes sur mon bureau. J'ai donc suivi les conseils d'un membre et reconfiguré lightdm. MAIS suite à ça, je ne peux même plus me connecter, je rentre mon mdp et...rien l'image de fond reste la même !
- J'ai déjà essayé avec gdm: chargement infini et rien. Essayé de purger lightdm, de le réinstaller, de le reconfigurer: idem.
- J'ai aussi suivi ce tuto:

Il ne m'a pas aidé car ne trouve pas le fichier.
- J'ai sauvegardé mon /home depuis un LiveCD.
Je sèche complètement et ai vraiment vraiment besoin d'accéder à cette session (logiciels importants, clef privée PGP et j'en passe...)

Alors oui il me semble que j'avais déjà testé et que le problème était resté (j'avais essayé tous les noyaux, même ceux en recovery)
Mais j'essaie de re-tester là et je n'arrive pas à accéder au GRUB (même avec la manip shift) pourtant j'y arrivais avant (je suis sous VM via Parallels Desktop)

je ne suis pas expert mais je ne vois rien de particulier.
Peux-tu donner le modèle exact de ton PC ?
As tu essayé la session invité?

Merci pour tes réponses
Alors je dispose d'un macbook Pro Retina 13" avec OSX Yosemite 10.10
J'utilise Parallel Desktop pour la virtualisation et donc un Ubuntu (dont la session est bloquée) et un autre Ubuntu dont la session n'est pas bloquée, évidemment dans deux VM différentes.
J'ai essayé la session invité, même problème !

Je suis loin, très loin, d'être un expert, mais j'ai eu un problème qui ressemble à celui que tu décris.
je te conseille d'abord de visualiser le topic du forum dont je donne le lien plus bas pour vérifier si ça te correspond.
Après avoir un peu fouillé sur ce forum, j'avais résolu mon problème.

ctrl-alt-Fn (n de 0 à 6)
sudo rm -fi .*authority*
sudo rm -fi .xsession-errors*
sudo reboot

j'ajoute par rapport aux commandes à passer :
fais un copier / collé des commandes (faut de méfier quand il y a rm et * dans la même ligne)

Holà! Merci de vos réponses.
Par contre ça ne fonctionne pas mieux...
Quand je vais sur la session invité par contre, ça m'affiche un message me demandant si je veux mettre à jour puis ça disparait à cause de bugs graphiques (image qui saute, qui revient etc...)

Mais rien ne change lorsque je choisis ma session "florian"
Je précise que j'ai mis 2Go de RAM et 256Mo pour la partie graphique dans les paramètres de la VM.
Si quelqu'un à d'autre soluces... je suis preneur !

et la session invité se comporte comment, de manière précise ?

Oui j'ai effectué toutes ces manipulations
Et la session invité s'ouvre, puis me demande une mise à jour par image saccadées (revient, repart, revient repart) et ensuite...RIEN je reviens au choix de session pour y rentrer le mot de passe.
Donc elle n'est pas utilisable non plus...
