Problème avec ma X300

Salut à tous!
Voilà j'ai une ati radeon X300 et j'ai des problème de 3D lorsque je fait un glxgears -display pendant 30 sec tout est ok et d'un coup ca lag à mort. D'où cela peut il venir??
voila ce que retourne fglrxinfo

Tes drivers 3D ne sont pas ou sont mal installés.

J'ai la meme carte (sur un dell inspiron 6000), et voile ce que donne fglrxinfo :

display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: MOBILITY RADEON X300 Generic
OpenGL version string: 2.0.5814 (8.25.18)

J'ai notamment ça :

958 frames in 5.4 seconds = 177.073 FPS

J'ai essayé d'installer fglrx, le pilote propriétaire, et comme ça ne marche pas, je me suis tourné vers les drivers "ati" (dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf), puis le driver "radeon"...
Sans résultat. World of Warcraft en l'occurrence tourne, mais avec un framerate effectif de 1 frame pour 6 secondes environ.
Normal, puisque de toute façon il n'y a pas d'accélération 3D visiblement.

Si vous avez des idées... (Et oui, j'ai désinstallé proprement fglrx)

J'ai du me battre longtemps pour installer les drivers propriétaires pour ma X700 : je ne sais pas si c'est la meme chose mais apparament la dernière version fournie par Ati ne marche pas pour ces cartes. Pour moi ce qui a finalement marché, c'est une installation grâce à Synaptic, en suivant à la lettre http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/fglrx.

J'ai la même carte que toi sur mon laptop Toshiba, j'ai installé les drivers proprios sans difficultés, j'ai utilisé Envy

Bon alors voilà...

J'étais sous la 6.06 ; je viens de changer à Edgy Eft.
J'ai tapé "glxinfo | grep rendering" sans chercher à savoir si les pilotes étaient bons, j'ai vu "direct rendering: No"

--> J'ai essayé "pour voir" de mettre le pilote libre ("radeon" dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf), et au reboot :

libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
direct rendering: Yes
------------------------

Cool, donc, et un "glxgears -printfps" me renvoie en moyenne 2400 FPS. Parfait !!

Maintenant, savez-vous ce que veut dire "ibGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b" ?
Par contre une application comme WoW se lance (j'essaie un "wine WoW.exe -opengl"), mais le rendu est coriace, du verdâtre partout, et surtout une frame toutes les 10 secondes ! Y a-t-il une raison apparente pour laquelle le rendu est incorrect ?

Ah, et pour mémoire, voici la partie de xorg.conf que j'ai configurée de base comme pour une ati 9200 (j'ai vu quelque-part que la X300 était équivalente à l'ex-9200 ^^)
