Plantage de Beryl, en fonctionnement

Bonjour,

après avoir galéré quelques dizaines d'heure pour installer les fonctions 3d (merci ATI), je viens de finir d'installer Beryl. Ceci dit je suis malgré tout obligé de taper:

beryl-xlg --use-copy

puis dans un autre terminal

beryl-manager

car sinon joli écran blanc. Mais mes problèmes ne s'arrêtent pas là...Lorsque j'utilise Beryl, il ne faut surtout pas que je "restaure", que je minimise ou maximise une fenêtre, sinon beau plantage d'Ubuntu et redémarrage barbare du PC (en appuyant sur on/off quoi).

Pour info : j'ai un PC Dell Inspiron 6400 avec une magnifique ATI X1400 (plus jamais je ne prendrais de PC avec ATI !!!).

Voici ce que j'obtient si je tape "beryl" dans un terminal (donc pour vérifier la compatibilté) :

et lorsque je tape :

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

Merci de vos lumières car la je galère quoi. Pour le coup, c'est quand même plus simple sous Windows je trouve...

salut j'ai installé xgl + beryl ce week sur mon ubuntu avec ma ATI X800.

résultat :

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"
direct rendering: Yes

Mais j'ai le même problème que toi, soit je le lance en use copy et sa marche mais c instable, ou sans le use copy j'ai un beau carré blanc.
D'après ce que j'ai lu le problème viens de la version 2.0RC la version 1.99 ne pose pas ce problème.

Bon l'utilisation de beryl n'est pas vital n'ont plus c'est juste un effet sympa que ne propose pas l'environnement windows pr le moment

Et pr les portable dell si je retarde a pue l'achat de mon portable c bien parce qu"il propose du ati ac la config que je veux

En gros faut attendre le prochain Beryl quoi...Espérons qu'ils vont faire vite, c'est quand même bien sympatoche comme effet. Sur mon PC fixe j'ai une NVidia GForce 7600GT ça marche d'enfers, et sans se prendre la tête....
