driver radeon libre et double écran LCD/TV
Bonjour!!!
Voila, j'ai installé les drivers libres radeon pour ma carte ati 9250 et ca fonctionne super (contrairement à fglrx qui ne m'a causé que des soucis)
J'aimerais pouvoir installer le double écran avec mon moniteur LCD d'un coté et ma TV de l'autre. J'ai essayé divers tuto mais rien n'a fonctionné.
Quelqu'un a-t-il une idée?

Je relance ce sujet.
Le driver libre radéon fonctionne bien sur ma ati 9600, contairement au drivers propriétaires.

Je n'avas pas eude problème pour compilé les drivers patché gatos sous dapper mais sous edgy je n'n arrive pas 
...

)

J'ai le même problème, j'ai lu je ne sais plus où qu'il y a eu un changement dans une API. Il faut un patch plus récent.
Edit: je viens de tomber sur http://www.ece.auckland.ac.nz/~wsun013/tvout/index.html, il y a des patchs plus récents. Je teste ça et vous tiens au courant.

J'ai également galéré un moment avec le dual screen
Pour le moment je n'ai trouvé que comment passé du lcd à la tv. Intalle atitvout, puis tu démarre le pc avec la tv de branché sur le pc, puis dans le terminal tu met:
"sudo atitvout -f detect" pour detecter les composant connecté
"sudo atitvout -f t" pour passer à la tv
"sudo atitvout -f l" pour revenir au lcd du pc
Je pense que tu as déja du voir tout ça, mais je le met quand même, des fois que

sudo atitvout pal auto

Je n'ai pas de lcd attaché, juste la TV (c'est une media box, cf ce topic (et hop un lien récursif )), et je pense que ça lui plait pas trop.
Pour le moment je m'en sors grâce au pilote vesa et à la magie de mplayer (-vo x11), mais mythtv utilise désormais un lecteur interne pour la TV, et je ne sais pas si on peut utiliser x11 en sortie (il n'arrive pas à utiliser xv -forcement avec le pilote vesa- et utilise un rendu software qui me donne à peu près une image par seconde ^^). En plus j'ai besoin de l'accelération matérielle pour les jeux.

Et bien si ta carte te le permet, tu démarre le pc en ayant branché à l'avance ta tv dessus, le materiel n'est pas detecté automatiquement, seulement au démarrage du pc.
Tu installe atitvout (sudo apt-get install atitvout) puis tu fais les commandes donné juste au dessus.
Je n'ai pas trouvé comment faire un vrais beau dual screen avec les pilotes libres.

Tu peux adapter le xorg.conf que j'ai également donné plus haut.
atitvout ne marche pas pour moi (mais inutile dans mon cas).

J'ai apparemment le même problème que tout le monde ici. Un PC sous Edgy avec une une carte graphique sur la carte mère (mais elle ne pose pas de pb) et une carte Sapphire Radeon 9250 PCI.
J'ai recompilé les drivers ati avec le patch indiqué plus haut (cf. http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/TVout_for_legacy_ATI_cards_using_GATOS). La compilation et l'installation se passe bien, mais quand je reboote rien sur la sortie TV. La sortie VGA affiche un écran de 800x600 mais mal positionné ...
Pour moi atitvout donne:
ubuntu:~$ sudo atitvout detect

En tant que super newbie sur Ubuntu et Linux en general, je ne pensait pas pouvoir envoyer d'images sur ma TV avec mon vieux Dell Latitude tout pourrit et son ATi Radeon Mobility, mais en chargeant la ATITVOUT, puis en tapant tout simplement les commandes ci dessus, tout fonctionne... et c bien cool
