Recensement des bugs que j'ai découverts dans Xubuntu 26.04 LTS

Bonjour toul'monde !

Sous ce sujet, je recence les bugs que je découvre sur mon installation toute neuve de Xubuntu 26.04 LTS.

1) Le "Greffon indicateur" n'apparaît pas systématiquement dans le tableau de bord.
RÉSOLU voir mon post #20

2) L'option "Modifier les applications" apparaît grisée et non active de façon aléatoire (j'utilise "Alacarte").
Semble Résolu, depuis que j'ai modifié l'affaire du "Greffon indicateur" évoquée ci-dessus.

3) Le numériseur de documents par défaut "Simple-scan" n'affiche pas toutes les icônes, sauf si on choisit le thème des icones "Gnome" ou "HightContrast".

4) Le programme "Beep" ne fonctionne pas systématiquement ("blacklist pcspkr" a pourtant été retiré dans "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf".

5) De façon aléatoire les numérisateurs "Simple-scan" et "Xsane" ne trouvent pas ma "Multifonction LaserJet HP" branchée en USB. C'est sûrement pourquoi "hp-setup" n'arrivait pas à chercher le plugin que j'ai installé manuellement.

6) l'installateur de paquets "Gdebi" ne fonctionne pas.

Transmission (bug apparmor) et Gdebi ne fonctionne pas.
j'ai eu le problème du greffon indicateur sur la beta mais avec la releases ça marche.
Pour transmission Baltus a donné la solution pour se dépanner.

Merci à vous deux pour vos retours !

Pour ce qui concerne le "Greffon indicateur", il ne semble plus faire à "cache-cache" depuis que j'ai retiré de la liste des "Applications démarrées automatiquement" Ayatana Indicator Application.
Je vous confirmerai (ou pas) si ça été efficace dans le temps.

Question subsidiaire : avez-vous installé un scanner ?

J'ai remarqué que les jourrnaux montrent que tout est encore en configuration par défaut, Donc actuellement, journald garde potentiellement beaucoup de boots sans trop de limite sur la 26.04
Il faudra faire quelques réglages selon vos besoins. C'est la liste des boots qui m'a mis la puce à l'oreille :

Afin de shunter le log audio, j'ai cherché dans notre documentation et trouvé un chipset appelé conexant :

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

et j'ai rajouté à la fin du fichier :

options snd-hda-intel model=thinkpad

Après réinstallation :

1) Le "Greffon indicateur" apparaît des fois en double dans le tableau de bord.
    Pour qu'il apparaisse à chaque fois (mais des fois en double) j'ai retiré de la liste des "Applications démarrées automatiquement" Ayatana Indicator Application.
    Pour supprimer le doublon, je relance le "Tableau de bord".
RÉSOLU définitivement voir mon post #20

2) L'option "Modifier les applications" apparaît grisée et non active de façon aléatoire (j'utilise "Alacarte").
Semble Résolu, depuis que j'ai modifié l'affaire du "Greffon indicateur" évoquée ci-dessus.

3) Le numériseur de documents par défaut "Simple-scan" n'affiche pas toutes les icônes, sauf si on choisit le thème des icones "Gnome" ou "HightContrast".

4) Le programme "Beep" ne fonctionne pas systématiquement ("blacklist pcspkr" a pourtant été retiré dans "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf". => Idem sur mon 2ème PC

5) De façon aléatoire les numérisateurs "Simple-scan" et "Xsane" ne trouvent pas ma "Multifonction LaserJet HP" branchée en USB. C'est sûrement pourquoi "hp-setup" n'arrivait pas à chercher le plugin que j'ai installé manuellement. Quand son entrée USB est réactivée, "hp-setup" va chercher et installe le plugin.
En dépannage et pour que le scanner soit trouvé, je débranche/rebranche le câble USB.
RÉSOLU, voir mon post #19

6) L'installateur de paquets "Gdebi" ne fonctionne pas.
   Palliatif : utiliser le "Centre d'applications".

@Poun64, as-tu regardé notre documentation à cette page?

Ne pas choisir l'imprimante proposée par défaut. Les pilotes de la série Scanjet 100 et consorts sont incompatibles.
Choisir HP Color LaserJet flow MFP M880 Postscript.
Désactiver l'option multi bacs (impression recto-verso) dans les paramètres de l'imprimante.

La description de la méthode date de 2012 mais peut-être qu'elle fonctionne toujours.

Bonsoir Ceric,

Ma multifonction HP LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a est reconnue d'emblée par Xubuntu depuis "Hardy Héron d'avril 2008" pour sa section "Imprimante".
Pour faire fonctionner sa partie "Scanner", il fallait et il faut toujours faire appel à un pilote propriétaire d'HP.
C'est pourquoi il faut commencer par installer les deux paquets "hplip" et "hplip-gui" des dépôts Ubuntu :

sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui

Une fois installés, on doit lancer en ligne de commande :

hp-setup

C'est un utilitaire qui va chercher chez HP le pilote adapté à son imprimante et qui l'installe.

Si je comprends bien, il y a un bug sur Xubuntu26.04 qui ne permet la connection USB que de façon aléatoire (pallatif trouvé : débrancher/rebrancher le câble USB)
C'est le même cas pour mon buzer connecté à ma carte mère...

Pour la reconnaissance systématique de mon scanner sans avoir à débrancher/rebrancher son câble USB, j'ai ajouté "USER" au groupe "scanner", via :

sudo usermod -a -G scanner $USER

Maintenant ça fonctionne à tous les coups...

Pour dépanner cette histoire de Greffons dans mon tableau de bord qui n'apparaissaient pas ou qui apparaissaient en double, j'ai :
  1) Retiré le "Greffon barre d'état" du tableau de bord
  2) Ajouté le "Greffon indicateur" au tableau de bord
  3) Autorisé le démarrage automatique de l'application "Ayatana Indicator Application"
  4) Redémarré mon PC
Depuis cette manip, tout semble être revenu en ordre.

Pour ce qui est des erreurs :

La méthode utilisée avec succès sur Xubuntu 24.04 consistant à :
Modifier les fichiers /etc/udev/rules.d/40-libsane.rules et S99-2000S1.rules, comme suit :
  Lignes 26 : ACTION!="add", GOTO="libsane_rules_end"    Remplacées par : ACTION!="add", GOTO="libsane_usb_rules_end"
Ne fonctionne pas sous Xubuntu 26.04.
L'erreur existe toujours...
