[Résolu] Temps de boot très long sur un macbook
Bonjour,
J'ai installé ubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma sur un Macbook 13 pouces Aluminium de juin 2009 avec ubuntu comme system unique.
(J'ai fait cela afin de pouvoir utiliser un logiciel libre non maintenu sur Mac )
Cela fonctionne très bien le seul problème est le temps de boot que je trouve très long et un peu étrange.
Il se déroule ainsi
Timing du boot:
0s bruit que fait le mac au boot puis écran blanc
15s écran noir avec le caractère _ approximativement ligne 5 col
50s le caractère _ disparait. L'écran reste noir
1min 20s Un écran NVIDIA apparait
1min 40s L'écran de connection ubuntu apparait enfin

J'ai beaucoup cherché sur le forum mais je n'ai pas réussi à trouver une solution. ( finalement ce boot est peut être normal)
En revanche je ne comprends pas tout à fait les subtilités entre UEFI et GRUB ( j'ai peut être raté quelque chose à l'install).
Si vous avez une aide à me proposer je vous en serai très reconnaissant.

appui sur la touche Esc apres le demarrage de GRUB peut donner des infos

Merci,
Si j'appuie sur la touche escape cela bloque le boot. ( je suis obligé de forcer l'arrêt avec le bouton de démarrage du Mac)
A quel moment sait on que GRUB est démarré ?

pour voir les messages au demarrage éditer le fichier
sudo gedit /etc/default/grubmodifier la ligne
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"par
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=""faire
sudo update-grub redemarrer et les messages apparaitront
faut voir aussi nomodeset pour pas charger le driver video au demarrage

Attendre 1 minute et 40 secondes pour pouvoir travailler avec ubuntu lorsque celui-ci est installé sur un disque dur me semble une attente normale.....
Peux-tu donner ces retours

Pour la réponse 4 de jpoc j'ai fait ce qui est indiqué et je vois les messages de grub. en revanche je ne sais pas les retrouver ( fichier log ) et cela défile trop vite pour être mémorisé.
Comment faire pour conserver la trace des messages. Je n'ai pas trouvé dans la doc de grub.
Pour la réponse 5 de geole j'ai essayé systemd-analyse time.Voici ce que j'obtiens.

La commande « systemd-analyse » n'a pas été trouvée, voulez-vous dire :

Les temps de mise en route sont normaux pour une installation sur disque dur.
Tant que le message d'erreur du wifi n'est pas trop souvent répété, il ne me semble pas nécessaire d'en chercher la cause.

vue la machine c''est un disque dur mécanique, donc ça me parait normal ce temps de démarrage, par contre quel pilote graphique tu as mis le libre ou le proprio, car avec une carte graphique nvidia faut trouver celui qui va boster ta machine, par contre le disque dur a quand même 11 ans, je te conseille de mettre un SSD afin de corriger ton problème de démarrage et démarrer 7 fois plus vite.

J'ai recemment fait une install d'Ubuntu 20.04 sur un Mac Mini de 2014 (hdd mecanique).
Le temps de démarrage est de 1 minute 30.

merci pour toutes ces réponses. Effectivement j'étais un peu naïf sur le temps de démarrage qui finalement est assez correct.
Je vais donc installer un ssd .
En revanche pour répondre à Matrux.60 (mess N°11) pour le pilote graphique je n'ai rien fait de particulier donc je présume que ce doit être le libre.
Comment faire pour trouver et installer un plus performant ?
Des que j'aurai reçu le ssd, je l'installe et je mettrais un commentaire avant de mettre Résolu à cette discussion.

Dans les applications sur UBUNTU tu as pilotes additionnelles, tu le lances, il te propose des pilotes propriétaires pour les cartes graphiques Nvidia et tu choisis le pilotes libre ou propriétaire.

Remplacement du disque par un SDD 512Mo
Réinstallation d'Ubuntu
Résultat: 20sec pour le boot. Pas mal pour un mac de 11 ans !
