oui demonipuch a modifié son script cette année

les libs manquantes sont un problème de localisation de ces libs (il y en a 3 en fait indispensables au fonctionnement du scanner) et elles devraient être soit dans /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu si se sont des lib64 ou dans /usr/lib/i386 si se sont des 32bit
J’ai l’impression qu’elles ne sont plus au bon endroit. Cela était résolu avant la 18.04 il se peut que c’est changé

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libsane-brother5.so.1.0.7

Je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit le problème puisque mon installation en 22.04 se fait sans échec.
Je crains plutôt que Dilem ait refait l'installation avec le script original : c'est possible s'il a dézippé plusieurs fois le master et que chaque fois cela crée un nouveau dossier… J'ai mis une balise dans mon nouveau script : comme cela on pourra voir si c'est bien le bon qui s'exécute.

Par contre, la fin (Copie des librairies) est toujours en échec et c'est là que j'ai ajouté la partie pour brscan5. Curieux

Pour ma part je ne trouve pas cela curieux car visiblement dans le script rien n‘était prévu pour le paquet brscan5 et libsane5 qui semble nouveaux chez brother (c’est le 1er cas que je rencontre sur le forum)

on voit qu'il y a 2 premières lignes [fail] dans les réponses ; a priori normal : ces fichiers transitoires ne sont présents qu'en 18.04.

c’est la recherche du mode 32bits qui se faisait par ia32 avant mais qui est remplacé par un nouveau paquet

pour l’implantation des librairies elles sont portées ou liées dans /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane ou /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/sane suivant l’architecture 64 ou 32 bits du paquet qui porte les librairies cela dépend je crois des paquets debian ou ubuntu qui ne sont pas ou n’étais aux mêmes normes

je n’ai pas reçu de réponse de demonipuch pour l’instant et j’ai fait suivre le fil en lien pour qu’il réponde ou modifie son script en conséquence

En effet, dans mon script 2, pour chercher s'il s'agissait de la version 20.04, j'ai mis 'Ubuntu 20.04' dans la réponse attendue à cette commande. Mais ce n'est pas satisfaisant si pour d'autres déclinaisons, la réponse n'est pas celle-là.
J'espère surtout que demonipuch va reprendre son script lui-même avec une compétence que je n'ai pas.

OK ! Donc mon script modifié du 2e lien doit marcher sur toutes les versions en tenant compte de la différence liée à la 20.04.
Mais il serait probablement mieux d'appeler le fichier avec un joker type 60-libsane* pour éviter de nouvelles surprises. D'ailleurs, il me semble que c'est ce que j'ai vu dans le script Brother.

(Et bonjour à un auvergnat de la part d'un autre : je viens de la région d'Ambert !)

ok les libs sont passées correctement
donc tu devrais ajouter dans configuration du système / imprimante une nouvelle imprimante et choisir ton imprimante usb qui doit être nommée
et un reboot ordi et debranche rebranche ton cable usb imprimante.

bonne nouvelle j’ai recu un retour de demonipuch
donc on ne devrait pas trop tarder à avoir un retour modifié de son script.
J’ai renvoyé un mail ce matin car j’ai eut un doute sur l’envoi du premier mail
mais c’était avant que tu ne modifie le script #100 et que tu apportes des précisions des défauts
on verra si demonipuch en tient compte

Très bien.
Il y a aussi une autre particularité : j'ai modifié le script de demonipuch mais j'avais aussi lancé le script de Brother adapté à cette imprimante. Et ce script de Brother installe 3 fichiers .deb recherchés aussi par le script de demonipuch mais il y en a en plus un 4e : mfcj4335dwpdrv-3.5.0-1a.i386.deb en plus du mfcj4335dwpdrv-3.5.0-1.i386.deb
C'est peut être plutôt pour l'imprimante mais ce 4e fichier est aussi peut être quelque chose de nouveau que demonipuch n'a pas pris en compte.

normalement le script de demonipuch pioche les paquets chez brother il me semble qu’il les pioche tous et les charge dans le dossier demonipuchxxxx/packages/
c’est après que le script fait sa sauce entre les différents paquets 32 et 64 bits et ceux nécessaires
faudrait voir quelle est la différence interne entre ces 2 paquets
je viens de consulter le site de brother et je n’ai pas ce .deb en double ??

Sur cette copie d'écran d'une machine virtuelle, tu peux voir à gauche les fichiers téléchargés par le script Brother et dans la fenêtre de droite, ceux par le script demonipuch…

ben je dirais que le script brother à 2 problèmes:
il n’a pas vu le paquet brother-udev-rules-type1-1.0.2-0.all.deb
il a téléchargé mfcj4335dwpdrv-3.5.0-1a.i386.deb qui n’existe pas sur le site de brother ou que le script l’a téléchargé 2 fois en ajoutant un «a» pour le différencier du premier.
regarde sur le site de brother directement et tu verras que cela n’est pas possible autrement
si le fichier existait déjà dans ton dossier perso il y aurait d’inscrit un mfcj4335dwpdrv-3.5.0-1.i386(1).deb créé par le système ubuntu
sur le site on peux voir cela et normalement si les script étaient très au point ils devraient sélectionner les paquets disponibles en l’une ou l’autre version en fonction de l’architecture de la machine 32 ou 64 bits ; ce qu’ils ne font pas à priori

Il s'agit bien de 2 fichiers différents : le premier de 77 ko de mai 2022 et le second de 57 ko mais daté du jour où je l'ai téléchargé, comme les fichiers uninstall… Est-ce que ce paquet est créé par le script pour une raison X. Et j'ai regardé son contenu : il crée des liens et contient des paramétrages d'imprimante lpd/cups (rien pour le scanner).

Sur le site de Brother, avec la commande élaborée par le script demonipuch, on obtient ces infos sur les fichiers disponibles :

Effectivement, ce 2e fichier n'y est pas. Et rien sur les lignes LPD et CUP alors que pour mon imprimante personnelle, ancienne (brscan4), ces lignes sont complétées. Est-ce que le script les paramètrent par ce 2e paquet? Je ne sais pas. Je lis aussi sur la 8e ligne qu'il n'a pas besoin de bibliothèque 32 bits.

@eric63 : c'est bien que tu aies relancé le script car on voit bien l'étape de création du paquet "a", ce que je ne voyais pas dans le log de dpkg. Au moins c'est clair.
Dans le script de demonipuch que j'ai adapté, j'ai vu qu'il y avait encore une partie qui doit être complétée pour le nouveau brscan5 si la machine est en réseau (et que je n'ai pas fait). S'il le reprend, il fera sûrement tout le nécessaire.

Et dans la page de téléchargement de Brother, l'information s'affiche bien quant au fait qu'il faut lancer avec sudo, etc

il faudrait voir avec le script de brother si tu as un déblocage quelconque
tu as juste à télécharger le «driver install tool» qui te donnera le fichier compressé et suivre les indications du post#118
tu pourra essayer en usb et en reseau pour voir si cela décoince quelque chose

Personnellement, je n'ai pas d'autre idée…
S'il faut vraiment une solution, ce serait d'installer l'imprimante en réseau (WiFi ou Ethernet), le problème pouvant être lié à l'USB.
