Problème dualboot / bootrepair [Résolu]

Bonjour,
Je dispose d'un PC avec dual boot sur deux SSD différents ( ubuntu et un windows). jusque là pas trop de problème. Je viens d'acheter un disque dur supplémentaire pour stocker des données, et depuis ce moment j'ai des problèmes de boot. J'ai donc lancé un live usb avec boot repair pour réparer mon grub qui se lancait bien mais d'arrivait plus à booter ni windows ni linux.
Depuis plus rien ne se lance. Impossible de charger grub, ne s'affiche qu'un écran noir. J'ai retenté de repasser par boot repair sans plus de succès.

Je te soupçonne d'avoir juste fait empirer les choses pour un problème qui à mon avis était au départ certainement basique...

Alors...
- déjà dans un premier temps tu ne va laisser branché que le disque windows et en réparer son démarrage
- dans un second temps tu vas remettre d'aplomb le démarrage de Linux en laissant seulement son disque dur aussi...
Pour la suite on verra parce-que il y a plusieurs truc pas clair dans ton bazar... Mais si déjà les 2 démarrent quand ils sont seul on aura franchi une marche...

En effet, je pense que c'était un petit soucis et j'ai plutôt eu confiance dans bootrepair qui m'a déjà résolu ce type de PB par le passé. Mais la... Je sèche...
En revanche quelle méthode recommandes tu pour réparer le démarrage de windows, puis de Ubuntu. J'ai beau lancer le disque seul je tombe à chaque fois sur un terminal grub rescue.

T'amuser à débrancher les disques ne sert à rien.
Tu as installé un troisième disque qui s'est mis en position 1 au lieu de 3.
soit tu jongles avec les câbles pour le remettre en 3eme position. Soit tu fais le boot-repair standard pour  qu'il posséde un MBR de boot.

Pourtant, la réparation proposée est claire.

The default repair of the Boot-Repair utility would purge (in order to fix packages) and reinstall the grub2 of

Le 3e disque est un disque de stockage de donner que je veux pouvoir remplacer/échanger. Ce n'est pas très pratique si le MBR de voir est dessus.je crains que le problème reaparaisse si je retire. J'ai changer l'ordre en rebranchant les câbles mais ça ne change rien. Ce qui me semble normal car je choisi le disque qui servira de Boot dans le bios au démarrage.

Tu as raison mais par principe chaque disque devant être autonome j'ai préféré proposé cette option d'autant que je ne sais pas pourquoi mais j'ai cru pendant un moment que l'ordre physique n'était pas modifiable : nvme tout ça...

En tous cas du coup petit rappel de principe dans cette situation de 3 disques bien distincts et dont l'ordre est bien physiquement modifiable : en 1 il faut mettre le windows... En 2 le Linux... Et en 3 les données... Par contre évidemment le disque de démarrage de tout le monde est bien logiciellement parlant le disque Linux

Donc si je comprend bien,l'idée serait de brancher physiquement en 1 le disque windows, et de lancer une restauration du MBR depuis Boot repair via un live cd ?
Puis je fais pareil pour le disque linux branché seule en 2

En théorie oui... En pratique utiliser bootrepair pour réparer un boot d'un système unique peut sembler un peu incongru surtout quand on ne parle que de windows... Mais bon c'est ma préférence d'éviter bootrepair qui parle... Et je n'ai pas par cœur les solutions de réparation manuelle de l'un et l'autre des systèmes... Il faudrait rechercher sur internet...

Bonjour,
Je déterre ce message, après de nombreuses tentatives, dernièrement :
- Réparation du boot windows avec bootrepair, et le disque dur windows branché seul
- Réparation du boot ubuntu avec bootrepair, et le disque dur linux branché seul
- Puis lancement de bootrepair avec les deux disques branchés..
=> Le résultat s'est avéré guère concluant : Grub met énormément de temps à charger, et ubuntu n'arrive à se lancer qu'avec une résolution de 640x480.
- Je me décide donc à reformater mon disque ubuntu en priant pour que lors de l'installation il me refasse une dualboot propre.
=> Rien du tout malgré la nouvelle installation ubuntu refuse de se lancer (écran noir)

avant de lancer toute nouvelle tentative, j'en appelle donc aux experts qui pourraient me guider dans ma démarche pour dépatouiller ce problème.

A) Point sur ton installation UBUNTU
Installation parfaite sur le disque SDB qui a une table de partition GPT. Du point de vue boot tout est OK.
Ton problème est donc graphique.
    1) Booter en mode recovery voir https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/recovery_mode
      spécialement l'astuce du chapitre 2  pour forcer le grub à s'afficher
       Puis choisir RESUME
  2) Puis regarder les pilotes propriétaires qui sont proposés à l'installation. https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/gestionnaire_ … prietaires

B) Point sur ton installation windows
    Le disque SDA contient une table de partition ms-dos et une seule partition NTFS.
    Je suis incapable de savoir si c'est le logiciel windows ou simplement une partition de données (D:).
  1) Si partition de donnée, il faut installer windows!! Mon conseil serait alors:
      - Sauver les données
      - Créer une table de partition gpt
      - Télécharger windows10 et faire une clé de boot
      - Installer windows sur tout le disque ( il fabriquera trois partitions)
      - Vérifier qu'il fonctionne.
      - Lancer boot-repair en réparation standard.
  2) Si partition  avec le logiciel windows, il faut réinstaller la structure de boot !! Mon conseil serait alors
      - Booter avec le support d'installation windows en mode légacy
      - Réparer windows avec les commandes REBUILDBCD FIXBOOT et FIXMBR https://www.malekal.com/bootrec-reparer … ndows-mbr/
      - Vérifier  que windows fonctionne.
      - Réparer l'installation de ubuntu et bootant en mode LEGACY https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/uefi
             Lancer gparted pour diminuer la taille de ubuntu de 1 MO
             Créer une partition non formatée Bios-Boot de 1MO, y mettre un drapeau bios_grub
             Lancer boot-repair en réparation standard

Alors pour préciser ma question : suite à la réinstallation d'ubuntu, je n'ai plus de problème d'affichage (bon je n'ai plus de son, mais ça c'est un autre post ^)
Mon problème désormais et que pour réussir à booter linux, je dois débrancher le disque windows. Pour démarrer windows, je dois débrancher le disque linux. Je n'ose plus trop lancer bootrepair à l'aveuglette, car la dernière fois après réparation je n'arrive plus rien à lancer.

    Je suis incapable de savoir si c'est le logiciel windows ou simplement une partition de données (D:).

SDA est un disque dur de donné utilisé pour windows. Il n'y a aucun système installé dessus.

Et voici le log bootinfo corrigé, celui que j'ai envoyé, manifestement le disque windows ne devait pas être branché. Windows est installé sur SDD1.

Y a t il une manipulation que je puisse faire à la main pour :
- rétablir l'apparition de grub (aujourd'hui lorsque je lance ubuntu, il n'apparait plus)
- ajouter l'option windows
- faire en sorte que chaque système se lance correctement sans planter une fois sélectionné dans grub, le tout en laissant tous les disques branchés

Voir chapitre 4.2 de ce document https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/uefi
Il faut donc que tu trouves une technique pour ne pas booter automatiquement en EFI
Cela devrait pouvoir se régler dans le bios

Il faut booter avec le support d'installation Au besoin en choisissant le fichier qui n'est pas EFI
- Vérifier que le boot a bien eu lieu en LEGACY
- Lancer gparted
- Rétrécir SDB2 (ubuntu) de 1 Mo
- Fabriquer une partition Bios-Boot de 1 Mo (non formatée)  et lui mettre le drapeau bios_grub
- Installer boot-repair
- Faire sa réparation recommandée
Puis rebooter en modifiant le bios  afin d'indiquer que le disque de boot est SDB et plus SDD

Avant de faire trop de conneries juste une question : quand je lance mon live usb, si je le lance en legacy, il n'arrive pas à démarrer. Normal ?
Et ducoup lorsque je veux lancer la réparation automatique avec boot repair, il m'affiche un message d'alerte me signalant que ma session est lancée en EFI...
C'est indispensable que la session de live usb d'installation soit en legacy pour procéder à la réparation ?

Je ne comprend pas... mon bios est bien réglé en mode Legacy. Lorsque je sélectionne le support de démarrage j'ai le choix entre usb/Clé Ubuntu ou EFI/Clé Ubuntu. Si je fait booter en EFI ça marche, par contre en USB (legacy j'imagine ?) rien à faire, je reste sur un écran noir.

Suite et fin de l'épisode...
Après avoir testé plusieurs live usb que j'avais je me suis résolu à en recréer un nouveau. Cette fois ci je le créer depuis ma session windows avec virtuoze au lieu du créateur de disque de démarrage d'ubuntu.
Victoire ! Grace à virtuoze, je réussi à lancer ma live usb d'ubuntu 20.04 en mode legacy. Un coup de boot repair, et l'affaire et dans le sac : j'ai retrouvé mon bon vieux grub avec le choix entre windows et ubuntu. Et ubuntu se lance.
