[Résolu] Canon MG5450 Aucun pilote ne trouve le scanner

Bonjour,

Après m'être démené pour résoudre mon problème de scanner, je ne sais plus quoi faire avec les éléments dont je dispose : Kubuntu 18.04 et une multifonction Canon MG5450.

Aucun de ces pilotes installés ne trouvent le scanner :
- Simple Scan
- XSane
- Sane-Pygtk
- Skanlite

J'ai installé Scangearmp2, il apparait comme tel dans Discover mais pas dans les applications ni dans Gimp via le menu «Créer». Gimp ne liste que :
- XSane
- xscanimage.

Selon les recommandations, voici les retours à un panel de vérifications par le terminal. Je précise que l'imprimante était sous tension pendant toutes mes tentatives et vérifications et que l'impression fonctionne..

Ne prends pas de risque avec le ppa pour l'instant.

Aucun de ces pilotes installés ne trouvent le scanner :
- Simple Scan
- XSane
- Sane-Pygtk
- Skanlite

…ça, ce ne sont pas des pilotes à proprement parler, mais des logiciels de scan pour l'utilisateur humain.

Un pilote, c'est le bout de programme qui permet au système de causer avec un appareil.

Sur le site support Canon il y a un pilote pour ton scanner,
par là https://www.canon.fr/support/consumer_p … 20(64-bit)

Il faudra décompresser cette archive, lancer le script qui s'appelle probablement install.sh et répondre aux questions qu'il te posera.

Ce qui revient à :
⋅ ouvrir un terminal,
⋅ te placer dans le dossier où tu as décompressé l'archive

cd /chemin_vers/dossier_décompressé

⋅ lancer le script

./nom_du_script.sh

Ensuite Simple-Scan ( ou Xsane ou… ) feront usage de ce pilote pour que toi l'humain tu puisses interagir avec le scanner.

Ce n'est pas une bonne idée de proposer un remède avant d'avoir établi le diagnostic.

Et le ppa proposé est déjà installé. On le voit à :

- le message d'erreur,
- et résolu (pour restreindre aux solutions les réponses du moteur)
- et "2020" (pour éviter les solutions périmées)

montre que les pilotes de la multifonction ne sont pas tous installés.
C'est donc tout ou partie du diagnosticsmile

Crée d'abord un répertoire mg5450-driver pour l'accueillir spécifiquement, graphiquement ou en ligne de commande :

mkdir -v ~/mg5450-driver

            .
puis télécharges-y l'archive, graphiquement ou en ligne de commande :

wget -c gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/6/0100004676/01/cnijfilter-mg5400series-3.80-1-deb.tar.gz  -P ~/mg5450-driver

On décompresse, graphiquement ou en ligne de commande :

On se place dans le sous-répertoire

cd ~/mg5450-driver/cnijfilter-mg5400series-3.80-1-deb/

            .
Enfin, on installe :

./install.sh

C'est dans cette phase que des choix sont demandés à l'utilisateur.

À noter que la rédaction de ce message a été plusieurs fois interrompue par des blocages de Kubuntu, ce qui m'a fait perdre chaque fois le retour demandé. J'ai fini par l'enregistrer préalablement.

L'imprimante est reconnue, elle imprime normalement, cependant elle était déjà installée et fonctionnait. Toutefois cette installation n'était pas aussi saine que ce qui vient d'être exécuté, notamment j'avais dû entrer moi-même l'url mac prise sur un autre PC utilisant cette imprimante.

Malheureusement je n'ai toujours pas d'accès au scanner de l'imprimante par aucun des logiciels de numérisation installés (ou non). Scangearmp2 que j'ai l'habitude d'utiliser sur un autre PC, est dit installé dans Discover avec une icône anormale de boîte avec un DVD, ne figure ainsi ni dans la liste des applications, ni dans GIMP.

Je crois que tu aurais téléchargé la mauvaise archive pour le pilote du scanner:

...qui contiendrait les sources à compiler, et non les paquets *.deb à installer.

La bonne archive à télécharger serait plutôt:

Le site de téléchargement Canon identifie les paquets *.deb pour Ubuntu et/ou Debian comme étant ceux nommés (debian Packagearchive), et les paquets *.rpm pour les distros genre RedHat en (rpm Packagearchive).

Oui, mais ton lien pointe vers toute la série des pilotes: .rpm, .deb et fichiers sources autant pour l'imprimante que pour le scan; il faut choisir le bon.

Si tous les chemins mènent à Rome, dans le cas de @Grognus, il lui faut passer par l'archive:

C'est pas labyrinthique, y a une page avec tous les drivers concernant l'appareil MG5450, faut juste choisir le bon ( scanner dans notre cas ).

Donc ylag tu partirais plutôt sur celui là, tout en bas de la page ( et pas le script à priori plus récent mais même version de logiciel ) :

Donc, dans l'ordre, après 1) téléchargement de
scangearmp-mg5400series-2.00-1-deb.tar.gz
dans le répertoire ~/Téléchargements


2) On crée un répertoire spécifique (et au nom sans accents ni espaces) :

mkdir -v ~/canon-scangearmp

            .

3) On y déplace l'archive :

mv -v ~/Téléchargements/scangearmp-mg5400series-2.00-1-deb.tar.gz  ~/canon-scangearmp/

            .

4) On la décompresse :
EDIT :
tar -xvzf ~/canon-scangearmp/scangearmp-mg5400series-2.00-1-deb.tar.gz
            .

tar -xvzf ~/canon-scangearmp/scangearmp-mg5400series-2.00-1-deb.tar.gz -C ~/canon-scangearmp

(ce qui va, entre autres, créer un sous-répertoire).

5) On se replace dans le sous-répertoire du répertoire correct et on lance le script d'installation :

cd ~/canon-scangearmp/scangearmp-mg5400series-2.00-1-deb/  && ./install.sh

(Des choix te seront demandés).

J'ai aussi galéré avec une imprimante ( Epson ET-2750) pour laquelle aucun driver n'est fourni pour le scanner...
J'ai trouvé une solution payante (une cinquantaine d'Euros...a vie ) qui s'appelle Vuescan
A marché du premier coup....
La seule "contrainte" si vous avez un parefeu c'est d'accepter en entrée le trafic UDP provnennt d'un port distant 5353

Merci nasier, mais la multi-fonction de Grognus, la Canon MG5450, est reconnue, et le fabricant fournit les pilotes pour Linux.

Par ailleurs, Epson fournit les pilotes pour scanner et pour imprimer avec ton ET-2750.
