Sur ce point, je ne suis pas compétent. Un expert m'avait dit qu'à partir de 14.04, l'installateur savait reconnaître les SSD et s'y adapter.
Mais avec des logs du 7 février 2014, on est en présence d'une installation par mises à niveau d'une version antérieure à 14.04.
  Dans ces conditions, faut-il ou non mettre dans fstab des options telles que "discard" (et "noatime") ? Aucune idée.

Oui il est ancien, et il fonctionnait.
Ma correction a consisté d'une part à supprimer des incohérences et des redondances,
d'autre part à réactiver l'enregistrement des logs, au moins pour le temps du dépannage.

Dans les 30 dernières lignes de kern.log et de syslog, je ne vois rien qui manifeste un plantage du système. Au contraire, le système en est à gérer la wifi.
  (La carte wifi est encore étiquetée "wlan0", comme dans 14.04. C'est la 2ème fois que je vois cela et j'ignore
  si c'est normal après une mise à niveau de 14.04,
  ou si c'est le signe d'une mise à niveau partiellement ratée.)

"quiet splash" est activé, cela empêche de voir pendant le démarrage ce qui échoue ou ce qui ralentit le démarrage. ==>
Tu touches ici du doigt l'intérêt de virer systématiquement cette option.


Ma conclusion provisoire :
Il est possible que l'échec n'affecte que le serveur graphique. Donc démarre la version installée - si tu peux, via les "options avancées" de grub, choisir "startup", ce sera encore mieux - et après le message

/dev/sda1: clean

tape
Ctrl Alt F1
et ne quitte plus l'écran des yeux,
  soit pour repérer les lignes qui s'attardent et les lignes qui se terminent par du rouge, (si trop fugitives, tu peux les photographier sans flash et en résolution modérée),
  soit pour guetter l'apparition de

login:

Cette dernière éventualité est la plus favorable.
Si non :

qui sont en-dehors de mes compétences.

J'ai installé 2 Linux Mint 18 (base ubuntu 16.04) la semaine dernière, et point d'option discard dans les fstab... Ce à quoi vous me répondrez peut-être: "oui mais linux mint n'est pas ubuntu..." Certes, mais ici https://wiki.archlinux.fr/SSD#TRIM même s'il n'y a aucune source, on le déconseille. Dans le doute, je préfère retirer l'option et appliquer un fstrim périodique. D'ailleurs, c'était déjà fait sous linux mint (/etc/cron.d/weekly/fstrim)...
Sur l'arch wiki anglophone https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/So … iodic_TRIM on semble également aller dans le même sens...

Sur l'option noatime, je citerai également ces mêmes pages... plutôt favorable donc.
Désolé d'être un peu pro arch wiki mais c'est un des plus complets à mes yeux et très à jour qui plus est.

Je ne suis pas spécialiste X.org mais mis à part des modules non chargés et remplacés par d'autres, je ne vois rien qui puisse empêcher le bon démarrage du serveur X.
On peut essayer avec Wayland ? tongue

Si mise à niveau il y a eu, cela signifie réinstallation système pour moi. Qui a eu cette idée saugrenue de la lancer ? mad

De mon téléphone portable... alors en appuyant sur Ctrl Alt F1 j'obtiens la première option: login

Ensuite l'écrance se fige sur login, et rien d'autre n'apparait par la suite...

Connecté de nouveau en live session...

Je ne sais pas trop si au final ce serait utile de poster une photo de l'écran où apparaît "login"... mais je n'ai pas réussi, je n'arrive pas à trouver dans les icônes du dessus l'option concernée...

Faites le moi savoir, au cas où c'est nécessaire ou utile ?

pour vérifier que ton clavier est dans la bonne config.
Si besoin d'activer le pavé numérique, appuie sur la touche VerrNum (verrouillage numérique).
Si besoin de passer en azerty, tape

setxkb,qp fr

en sorte de lire à l'écran :

setxkbmap fr

et re-vérifie que tu es bien en azerty.

Si ça n'a pas suffi, tente

loqdkeys fr

en sorte de lire à l'écran :

loadkeys fr

Puis, si besoin, efface ce qui resterait à droite de

login:

  - -
Il reste à taper ton login
à valider par Entrée,
à attendre que s'affiche

Password:

Alors tu tapes ton mot de passe à l'aveugle,
et valides par Entrée.
Et quelques secondes plus tard, tu devrais avoir l'invite de commande :

ton-login@ton-pc:

Là, tente, SANS "sudo"

startx

et dis-nous soigneusement le message d'erreur.
Si ça nécessite de poster une photo d'écran, pense à passer par un hébergeur comme pix.tdct.org.

Salut Moko138,

J'ai d'énormes difficultés à poster la photo, le site indiqué n'a pas fonctionné pour moi, après avoir cliqué sur envoyé, rien ne s'est passé... j'ai dû donc retourné à mon téléphone portable, faire cela dessus et recopier le code sur mon ordinateur...Photo erreur

Je n'ai pas pu procéder à la commande en #30, car j'avais déjà terminé et redémarré en live session lorsque j'ai vu le dernier message...

Enfin bref, la solution n'est plus loin, tu arrives à te loger en console - j'aurais dû te faire faire le test dès le début - il y a un problème graphique :
Bien que tu utilises un noyau 4.4, ton serveur X.org est construit sur le noyau 3.13 :

Build Operating System: Linux 3.13.0-95-generic x86_64 Ubuntu

Il y a un cas récent similaire sur le forum, mais où, déjà ?
AJOUT : C'était là ./viewtopic.php?id=1997218 et hger a choisi de réinstaller une 14.04, 64 bits. Nickel.
Il a retenté la mise à niveau : re-plantage. ==> Réinstallation de 14.04.

À noter : Bougron avait signalé que le "Build Operating System: Linux 3.13..." fonctionnait parfaitement dans sa 16.04 !

Redémarre en live
et donne le fichier dmesg.txt :

À première vue, un seul "fail" :

Je dois dire que je ne suis pas très fort en informatique, et ne comprend pas toujours le vocabulaire utilisé, ni certaines manipulations à entreprendre....

Je suis allé au paragraphe 6.2, mais je n'ai pas trouvé mentionné nomodeset ?

Je n'ai pas non plus trop compris comment lancer boot-repair, ni l'ordre des différentes étapes à engager pour parvenir à me passer du graphique en utilisant nomodeset ?

Il y a un souci avec le fichier /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf !

Coeur Noir avait pourtant corrigé ici:

Je soupçonne l'option "discard"...


En live, montes la partition système à l'aide du gestionnaire de fichiers, puis dans une console:

sudo cp /media/ubuntu/8b29a24b-4e15-439c-9cd0-2f476d84643b/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf.backup /media/ubuntu/8b29a24b-4e15-439c-9cd0-2f476d84643b/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf

Donnes le résultat de la commande de prompt à prompt. Le prompt sur le live c'est: ubuntu@ubuntu~$
N'oublie pas de démonter la partition via le gestionnaire de fichiers avant de redémarrer sur le système installé.

En §6.2, je crois que ce que Bougron veut dire, c'est que là où il y a "acpi=off" sur la capture, toi tu choisiras "nomodeset".

En #34, j'ai mis ta capture "startx" mais beaucoup allégée.

Bonjour
Les explications sur  les principales options sont décrites  au paragraphe 6.1 du même document, Il y a même un renvoi qui permet de voir quasiment toutes les autres options .(hormis les récentes!)..

Il est  possible que l'option nomodeset soit à ajouter en plus de acpi=off

Ce que tu dois faire, c'est télécharger la version 16.04.1 et l'essayer avant d'installer... Si tu n'as pas d'écran noir, ce n'est probablement pas l'option nomodeset qui va résoudre.


PS: Avoir deux OS opérationnels  dans un ordinateur, minimise les risques d'être 4 jours sans pouvoir utiliser la bécane.....

HOURRAH ! Ça a marché !

Mon ordinateur a démarré sur Ubuntu 16.04. Mais j'ai eu une sueur froide lorsque j'ai vu apparaître avant cela, le même message de blocage : /dev/sda1: clean, ??? files, ??? blocks

Et quelques secondes plus tard, mon système a ouvert comme il avait l'habitude de le faire auparavant... c'est à dire normalement sur mon système d'exploitation Ubuntu 16.04

Je viens aussi de m'empresser d'accepter des mises à jour, plus de 100M...

Est-ce que tu penses que le problème est réglé ?

D'ailleurs, la mise à jour me demande de redémarrer l'ordinateur... je suis un peu anxieux...

Cette ligne signifie que le système contrôle l'intégrité de tes systèmes de fichiers. C'est un processus qui s'effectue tous les x démarrages... Peux pas dire précisément tous les combien...

Xorg bloquait car il ne parvenait pas à comprendre le fichier. Pas de Xorg, pas d'affichage graphique. Il ne devrait pas y avoir de souci avec la mise à jour. Tu dois pouvoir redémarrer sans problème.

Selon moi, ton système est revenu dans le même état qu'il était au moment où tu as créé le précédent fil: https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1997139
Mais comme je l'ai dit plus haut, je n'aime pas les migrations, c'est générateur de problème... Peut-être qu'il serait bon de partir sur un système "propre".
Euh... Si j'ai bien compris, il y a bien eu migration de ubuntu 14.04 vers 16.04 ? Merci de confirmer ça.

Ensuite c'est toi qui voit, on peut continuer à chercher via l'autre fil ou bien tu réinstalles proprement en prenant soin de bien sauvegarder tes données ainsi que tes fichiers de configurations logicielles dans ton /home/satire/ (il faut afficher les répertoires cachés pour voir les fichiers configurations logicielles) et on voit ce que ça donne concernant le touchpad.

Si tu as des logiciels paramétrés dans le répertoire /etc/, il faut aussi penser à les sauvegarder.

C'est étrange pour le touchpad qu'il ne fonctionne bien que par intermittence en live, d'ailleurs pendant tous ces démarrages en live, as-tu eu le temps de voir si le touchpad fonctionnait correctement ?
