BREEZY Driver nvidia

Bonjour,:)
j'ai installé la 5.10 sur une nouvelle machine et j'ai un petit souci avec l'install des drivers de la carte graphique ( nvidia 7600 GT)
J'ai suivi la page consacrée à la question du site de Yek http://yeknan.free.fr/blog/index.php?20 … -graphiquemais apres reboot sur serveur X j'ai un bel ecran noir avec un curseur blanc, pareil quand je reboot la machine.
Comment faire pour résoudre le problème sachant que je ne peux plus atteindre ma session hmm

arf excuse moi je n'arrive jamais à être clair..
pas de souci pour grub  ni pour lancer ubuntu et les "lignes" qui défilent etc..
mais au moment d'arrivée sur la page où tu entres ton login et ton pw, j'ai un écran noir et le tiret blanc en haut à gauche.
Je peux aussi me connecter en mode de "secours" mais je ne sais pas trop quoi lui "dire"... tongue
J'ai tenté à tout hasard

sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.backup /etc/xconf/xorg.conf

mais en mode texte j'ai un message d'erreur, ce qui semble à mes yeux normal.
Il n'y aurait pas un moyen de revenir en arrière depuis le mode de secours ??

Bonjour,

Est ce que tu as bien fait sudo nvidia-glx-config enable ?
Si oui as tu bien changé dans ton xorg.conf "nv" par "nvidia"

Bhein j'ai bien fait

sudo nvidia-glx-config enable

comme sur le tuto de Yek mais il n'y avait rien sur le fait de changer la ligne device (nv vers nvidia) contrairement au wiki du site que je viens de lire...
Je pense que le problème vient de là mais comment acceder à xorg.conf maintenant que ça plante...  sad

Re,

Il faut en mode texte faire :

~$ sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

'X11 ---> X majuscule)

Aller avec la flèche bas j'usqu'au device de ta CG, changer nv par nvidia
puis Ctrl+x .

j'ai suivi ton instruction mais à la Section "device" j'avais
                                               Identifier "nvidia corporation default card"
                                               Driver "nvidia"
                                               BUS ID " pc:1:0:0

Petite info,au tout début, j'avais du reconfigurer le serveur x avec les pilotes libres parce que j'avais un plantage à chaque démarrage. J'avais utilisé

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

à partir du mode de "secours" et j'avais suivi les parametres par défaut et j'avais pris les drivers "vesa"

Ensuite pas de souci, démarrage tranquille puis j'ai voulu installé les pilotes proprio et là...

Du coup je me suis dit que j'allais revenir en arrière, aussi à partir
Section "device"
                                               Identifier "nvidia corporation default card"
                                               Driver "nvidia"
                                               BUS ID " pc:1:0:0
                                               video ram 256000

j'ai modifié la ligne driver "nvidia" pour "nv".

Et je suis revenu au probleme de départ que j'ai resolu en suivant la 1° procédure...

[suis je un brin compliqué ??? sad:(:(:(]

Je vais tenter à nouveau d'installer les pilotes proprio mais cette fois à partir du wiki.
Je te tiens au jus.

Je ne sais pas si tu as copié ça dans ton xorg.conf :

Identifier "nvidia corporation default card"
                                               Driver "nvidia"
                                               BUS ID " pc:1:0:0
                                               video ram 256000

Mais attention à la mise en forme et aux guillemets, pour info 256 Mégas de RAM = 262144 (x 1024)

Identifier    "nvidia corporation default card"
    Driver       "nvidia"   
    BusID       "PCI:1:0:0"
    video ram 262144

En fait les infos :

viennent des parametres notifiés lors du

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Et je n'ai peux être pas bien fait ça sad

J'ai suivi le Wiki et ... pareil, ça plante. A l'exeption que le wiki fait mention de la question de l'interface DVI / VGA. SI j'ai bien compris le dvi c'est la sortie de la CG pour les écran plats et le VGA pour les cathodiques. Bon j'ai un cathodique mais cette CG n'a pas de sortie VGA mais deux sorties DVI avec un adapteur DVI-Flat_VGA_ADAP.JPG
J'ai rajouté la ligne

Option         "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP"

comme indiqué mais pareil, même problème. Du coup je l'ai viré.

Voilà mon fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf (peut être, ça peut aider à comprendre...

Pour les 2 DVI, tu dois avoir la 1 et la 2, branche toi sur la 1.

Allez copie ça à la place de ton xorg.conf

desolé je n'ai pas pu passer plus tot, fin de l'année oblige...

Merci pour ton fichier, mais ce qui me chiffonne c'est que je reste avec la 2D,non ?

Maintenant :

sudo apt-get install linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r`
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx nvidia-kernel-common
sudo nvidia-glx-config enable

*Si c'est déjà installé, tu as un message comme quoi la version la plus récente est installée.

Puis :

~$ sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Tu modifie dans cette section :

Section "Device"
    Identifier     "NVIDIAGeforce 7600 series"
    Driver        "vesa"  <----- remplace vesa par nvidia
    BusID        "PCI:1:0:0"

Bhein les trois paquets étaient deja installé
J'ai bien modifié la ligne des driver du fichier xorg.conf
et comme à chaque fois que je modifie cette ligne pour y ecrire "nvidia"
ça plante au reboot (problème de server X...)

Voilà. Je comprends pas d'où peut venir le problème... sad

J'ai lancé nvidia-settings et coché ( dans nvidia-settings Configuration, en bas) "Include X Display Names in the Config File".
