Démarrage compliqué [RÉSOLU]
Bonjour, mon ordinateur de bureau démarre lentement, après plusieurs passages en mode veille de l'écran. Comme si un premier démarrage échouait et qu'un démarrage de secours venait le suppléer. J'ai toujours peur que cela finisse par ne plus fonctionner.
Je dispose de Ubuntu 18.04.03 LTS sur ordinateur de bureau avec Carte graphique radeon rx 470 sapphire nitro + 8 go sous pilote libre. J'utilise le kernel linux-generic-hwe-18.04 (5.0.0.31)

Pourrais-tu vérifier que la fonction "Verrouillage de l'écran" est bien sur "Désactivé" (voir ce post)

Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. Dans la partie "sda1/etc/fstab" du Boot-Info, on y voit :

Lors de l'installation, tu as demandé que le disque sdb soit monté dans /home. Pour moi, c'est archi-merdique. Il aurait fallu créer une table de partition sur sdb, créer une partition sur sdb (elle aurait été repérer /dev/sda1) et demander que cette partition soit montée dans /home. Je ne sais pas dire s'il faut impérativement refaire cette installation mais pour moi, ce serait préférable dans la mesure où le démarrage est compliqué.

Bonsoir, merci pour ta réponse. L'écran de veille est bien désactivé.
J'ai un disque sda sytème SSD et un disque dur HD classique sdb réservé à mon Home. Je pensais que c'était la bonne démarche dixit certains avis pour éviter les écritures multiples sur ssd.... Tu préconises de déplacer les dossiers données musiques, document, etc.sur le HD Mais laisser le home sur le ssd ?
Sinon j'ai peut être trouvé le problème. J'utilise un ancestral clavier microsoft sans fil Wireless Entertainment keyboard 7000. En le déconnectant et en branchant un clavier filaire, je n'ai pas eu les bugs. Je vais poursuivre le test, mais j'espère que le sans fil est bien géré car bien pratique pour un usage multimédia.

Pour un fonctionnement optimal, tu préconises quel partitionnement ? En comptant que mes deux disques durs, SSD 250 go et HD 3 to, sont entièrement dévolus à ubuntu.

Bonjour,
Par rapport à ton utilisation (Ubuntu seul dans l'ordi, pas de Windows), le principe de ton organisation actuelle est bon : racine de Ubuntu sur le SSD, est /home sur le disque dur. Ce qui ne va pas, c'est le partitionnement du disque sdb ou plutôt l'absence de partitionnement puisqu'il n'y a pas de table de partition sur sdb. Si tu veux rectifier cela, il faut sauvegarder sur un disque dur externe la totalité de ton /home actuel puis créer la table de partition (*) sur sdb (qui va effacer tout le contenu de sdb), créer une partition unique au format EXT4 qui occupe toute la place sur sdb (elle sera nommée automatiquement /dev/sdb1). Ensuite, tu devras refaire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu avec le choix "Autre chose" à l'étape Type de partitionnement. C'est là que tu choisiras /dev/sdb1 comme partition /home.
(*) si tu fais ça avec Gparted (voir doc) depuis une session live de Ubuntu, le type de partitionnement par défaut pour les disques de taille supérieure à 2 To est GPT. C'est ce qui convient.

C'était ma première install manuelle avec deux disques durs dédiés ubuntu, je pensais que le partitionnement se faisait automatiquement. Je ferai une nouvelle install si je trouve le temps et le courage. Mon clavier non reconnu au démarrage alors qu'il l'était précédemment me chagrine plus... Merci encore pour tes infos.

Ben non, si tu avais choisi de faire une installation manuelle - avec le choix "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type de partitionnement" - tu devais tout créer à la main. Avec ce choix "Autre chose", il n'y a pas de création automatique de table de partition ni de création automatique de partitions.

Bonjour, je vais refaire une install avec mon ssd de 256 go et mon HDD de 3 to, avec une table de partition.
Je ne fais pas d'hibernation, je prévois sur le ssd :
/boot 1go
/ espace restant
sur le HDD
/tmp 50 go
SWaP 12 Go
/var: 30 Go
/home (tout l'espace restant)
Est-ce que cela vous parait correct ?
Je n'édite pas de nouveau sujet, car je conclurai après réinstall qui du clavier ou du partitionnement manuel causait le problème.

Bonjour,
Voila ce que je t'avais écrit dans le post #6 plus haut :
Par rapport à ton utilisation (Ubuntu seul dans l'ordi, pas de Windows), le principe de ton organisation actuelle est bon : racine de Ubuntu sur le SSD, est /home sur le disque dur.
Or ton projet de nouvelle installation prévoit /home sur le SSD (au lieu du disque dur). Je ne dis pas que c'est absurde mais tu peux expliquer ?

Solution trouvée pour faire une nouvelle table de partition grâce au poste de malbo.
Attention, lors d'une install live USB, il faut auparavant démonter le disque dur HDD, car Gparted ne le proposant pas, l'opération s'avère impossible.

J'ai clos le sujet avec trop d'optimisme. Malgré la réinstallation propre, mon système démarre en deux temps, après une perte de signal vidéo/mise en veille du moniteur. J'ai branché un clavier filaire; rien n'y fait. Je précise que mon écran est connecté avec un cable displayport.
Le temps de démarrage n'est pas catastrophique, l'écran de veille avant l'apparition du bureau non plus, il s'agit de m'assurer que rien de grave se passe et finisse par empêcher le démarrage.

Après moult essais de cartes graphiques, claviers et cables, je suis parvenu à stabiliser mes démarrages en connectant mon écran ultra HD en DVI. Le démarrage est plus long si je branche mon clavier sans fil... je testerai éventuellement un autre modèle de clavier et de cable displayPort, car le DVI fait très bien le job pour une résolution max ultra HD (3 840 × 2 160).
