[résolu] précisions pour installation kubuntu 16.04 non uefi

Bonjour à tous,

Mon pc n'a pas le mode uefi. J'ai créé une live usb avec unetbootin pour mettre à niveau ma version (14.04) vers la 16.04.2, avec l'intention d'utiliser la 3ème méthode d'après ce sujet

Au démarrage, j'ai l'écran-type du grub qui me propose 3 choix (en anglais), dont celui de démarrer kubuntu. Une fois sur le bureau, en démarrant l'installation je m'attends à ce qu'on me propose au bout d'un moment le choix de mettre à niveau vers la 16.04.2.
Mais j'ai un message me disant que c'est un installateur uefi et que si je force l'installation, je risque de plus pouvoir accéder aux OS non-uefi. Du coup, on me propose 2 choix: revenir en arrière ou continuer. Je choisis de revenir en arrière, et on me propose un partitionnement que je ne veux pas (l'espace pour kubuntu 16.04 rogne sur celui de windows 7.

D'après ce lien, à la section 2.3, c'est précisé que la version francophone n'est pas en uefi. C'est ce qui me convient. Donc j'avais téléchargé l'iso (lien), version proposée que je pensais francophone, pour en faire une live-usb.

Donc:
- est-ce que unetbootin est tjrs fiable? (malgré la mise à jour que j'ai faite pour avoir la dernière version, suivant la documentation de ce logiciel), mais il est visiblement obsolète (section 5.1 de ce tuto)
- si on ne me propose pas depuis la live-usb de mettre à niveau, est-ce que ça viendrait de l'image iso (qui est intègre, je l'ai vérifié avec md5sum) qui ne peut installer que la 16.04 en uefi?

Bonjour,

Je suppose que tu as une machine en 64 bits et que tu as donc téléchargé une iso pour 64 bits.
Cette iso permet l'installation en mode UEFI si la machine cible supporte l'UEFI. Peut-être est-ce le cas de ton ordinateur, même si la version actuelle a été installée en mode Legacy.
Est-ce que ton BIOS est réglé pour le mode Legacy ? Peux-tu donner les références complètes et les caractéristiques de ta machine, cela aidera probablement à déterminer pourquoi tu constates cette réaction.
J'ajoute que je ne suis pas moi-même qualifié pour les installations en mode UEFI, ne disposant que de machines trop anciennes pour supporter ce mode. J'espère qu'un intervenant plus compétent te donnera les bons conseils pour installer correctement.


Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !

Les caractéristiques du portable sont tout à la fin de chacun de mes messages, au niveau de la signature. Mais je viens de voir que "l'écran-type" c'est le mode uefi est activé, et non l'inverse comme je l'ai dit. Dans le bios (et d'après la doc ubuntu consacrée au uefi, rien dans mon bios ne me donne le choix de choisir (à cette commande "[ -d /sys/firmware/efi ] && echo "Installé en mode EFI" || echo "Installé en mode classique", le terminal me renvoie "non-uefi", mais ça ne veut rien dire car tant qu'il est pas activé dans le bios, automatiquement le retour de commande sera celui-là, quand bien même mon ordi aurait le uefi.
Et en plus, contrairement à ce que je pensais (et qui aurait été pourtant logique vu que j'ai 4go de ram), la 14.04 installée est du 32 bits, et non du 64. Du coup, est-ce que ça voudrait dire que je n'aurai plus à me soucier de l'histoire uefi/bios?
Je télécharge l'img iso 32 bits cette fois, voir comment ça se passe.

En effet, l'UEFI n'est géré par la distribution que pour le mode d'adressage 64 bits, en 32 bits, l'installation se fait toujours en mode Legacy.
Il est donc normal que ton système actuel en 32 bits ne soit pas installé en EFI, mais en ayant téléchargé une version iso en 64 bits, et du fait que ta machine peut le supporter, c'est l'installation en mode UEFI qui t'a été proposée...
Si tu télécharges une iso en version 32 bits, l'installation se fera en mode Legacy, comme la précédente.


Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...

Je ne comprends plus grand chose. L iso est integre. Avec unetbootin, au demarrage, il y a bien l ecran bleu du menu mais seule l option 'installer kubuntu' n apparait pas. La live usb faite la fois d apres avec mkusb, apres la fenetre voulant dire apparemment que je n ai pas le uefi - celle qui a juste en bas au centre un rectangle et un bonhomme a cote, ne me propose plus le menu.
que ce soit avec unetbootin ou mkusb, j arrive donc au meme stade; le bureau de la 16.04 avec l option installer cette version mais sans possibilite de faire la mise a niveau comme je veux

Du coup. retour au point de depart, j veux bien quelques eclaircissements svp... dsl pour l absence d accents - cause clavier anglais de la live usb...

Avec Rufus, le résultat est le même, aucune possibilité d'installer directement, sans passer par le bureau de la nouvelle version. Je précise que c'est la 16.04.2 que j'essaie d'installer. Est-ce que le fait de vouloir installer celle-ci, et non la 16.04 aurait une incidence?

Peux-tu faire un Boot-Info depuis une session live de 16.04.2 et donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse ?

EDIT : je note que ta signature actuelle est la suivante :

Pourtant, tu n'as pas de carte graphique nvidia geforce GT 1 go dans cet ordi comme on peut voir ICI : c'est uniquement la partie graphique intégrée sur la même puce que ton processeur qui gère l'affichage. Je viens de trouver que cette carte graphique NVIDIA, c'était dans un ordi de bureau que tu devais l'avoir.
Peux-tu mettre à jour ta signature (c'est à dire supprimer la mention "carte graphique nvidia geforce GT 1 go") ?

La commande lspci -v me renvoie effectivement une carte graphique intégrée au processeur. La signature est modifiée en fonction, merci. La mention 3D controler pour nvidia, ça renvoie à quoi du coup?

Plutôt que de suivre la Méthode 3 du tuto de Sibe (qui ne fait plus partie de la communauté. Son dernier post sur le forum remonte au 19/08/2014), je te recommande de suivre la Méthode 1 – Réinstaller tout le système sans toucher au «/home» de la doc officielle.

Cette méthode ne semble pas à jour, je n'ai pas cette option de choisir "autre chose", ni de pouvoir "modifier la partition" comme ce qui est écrit. La procédure d'installation ou autre de la 16.04 diffère beaucoup de celle de la 14.04...

La méthode que je t'ai conseillée dans la post #8 est à jour. Je n'arrive pas à imaginer où tu peux bloquer. Peut-être qu'un plus intuitif que moi peut prendre le relais mais moi je suis sec.

Au stade du partitionnement du disque dur, il faut cocher "manuel", et après effectivement, la méthode est à jour. Mais pb de surchauffe alors que deux fenetres seulement sont ouvertes: de 75 à 100%, mais cela va faire l'objet d'un autre sujet.
