Bonjour à tous,
Je suis en dual boot avec S... et je trouve que le démarrage d'Ubuntu 16.04 est très long comparé à ce que je connaissais sous des versions antérieurs...Si vous pouvez m'aider, merci d'avance.

Bonjour,
Je viens de voir que tu as galéré il y a peu de jours avec le WiFi : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2004833
Je te prie de désactiver provisoirement le WiFi (pour ne pas que ça impacte sur le temps de démarrage) et te connecter en filaire. Après cela, je te prie de démarrer ton ordi et de donner approximativement le temps qui s'écoule entre la sélection de ton entrée dans le menu Grub et l'apparition de l'écran de connexion de session.
D'autre part, peux-tu indiquer le nom complet du modèle de ton ordi ?

Et si maintenant tu déconnectes la connexion filaire et que tu réactives le WiFi, que devient ce temps ?

je serai parti sur une version xubuntu . avis perso. Si ça tourne correctement après ça reste bon . tant que il n'y a pas d'application qui plantent.

si c'est un début . je ferai une installation propre. (comme ça vous apprenez à installer en mème temps )
essayez aussi la version lubuntu . qui est encore plus légère. je vous conseille de regarder la documentation ubuntu avant tout pour vous donner un avis sur les différences des distributions.
Après c'est à votre goût ... mais avec des machine vieillissante c'est mieux d'avoir des distribution légère.

Merci beaucoup smokeh, je vais fouiller...et comparer....si je veux installer proprement:
-je supprime ma partition Ubuntu et je réinstalle xubuntu ou lubuntu....tout simplement en allouant une partition au disque suffisante au moins 25 30 Go.

Je repose la question, après avoir fouillé sur les caractéristiques minimales requises pour qu'un système supporte Ubuntu, la mienne n'a pas l'air d'être complètement obsolète...pour l'instant je trouve pas que cette version "beug", si ce n'est qu'en mode "jeu" forcement en faisant tourner des usines comme "flightgear" par exemple, mais j'ai S...en dualboot donc pour cela pas de pb.

votre ordinateur est sorti en 2009 d’après google. ça va c'est quasiment 8 ans ... tant que ça fonctionne !!!

Ok je vais poursuivre avec cette version d'Ubuntu, qui me va pour le moment sans "bug", le changement c'est l'ergonomie avec laquelle on est habitué depuis des années avec Wi.....il n'est jamais trop tard et on retrouve si on prend le temps largement la même chose en matière de logiciel......seul le jeu reste à la traîne.

Est-ce que tu as toujours Windows dans cet ordi ? Si oui lequel (Vista, Win7, autre) et temps de démarrage de ce Windows nettement plus rapide ou semblable à Ubuntu ?

Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

EDIT : pourrais-tu indiquer le temps mis par Win7 pour arriver à l'écran de connexion de session ?

Par contre, je suis un peu surpris par ceci que tu as noté dans le post #19 : "Pour ce qui est du temps que met Win7 pour arriver à l'écran de connexion de session est d'environ "une minute"". Ce qui me surprend c'est que tu as indiqué dans le post #16 : "Win7, plus rapide en ouverture". J'en avais compris que Win7 démarrait plus vite que Ubuntu. Or pour arriver à l'écran de connexion de session, tu déclares que c'est une "minute" pour Win7 et dans le post #5 tu as écrit que c'est une minute aussi pour Ubuntu. C'est à dire à peu près le même temps. C'est peut-être moi qui ai mal compris "Win7, plus rapide en ouverture". Dans ce cas, peux-tu expliquer ?

Lorsque j'étais sous Ubuntu 14.04, la session d'ouverture était très rapide, c'est peut-être juste une comparaison stupide.

Il n'y a rien de stupide dans ce que tu as écrit jusqu'ici. Je craignais simplement de mal comprendre certains passages. Et pour tout dire, ce que je trouvais stupide c'est ma question du post #15 : dans mon ordi, j'ai comparé le temps de démarrage jusqu'à l'écran de connexion de Windows 7 et de Ubuntu 16.04. Je trouve 20 secondes pour Win7 et 40 secondes pour Ubuntu 16.04. Ce n'est pas pour autant que je considère que le temps de démarrage de 16.04 est inacceptable : en comparant un système d'exploitation en fin de vie (Win7) avec un qui est tout jeune comme Ubuntu 16.04, on n'apprend pas grand chose et je regrettais ma question...

EDIT : j'ai encore proféré des conneries : Windows 10 démarre chez moi en 20 secondes, exactement comme Win7 (oui, j'ai les deux dans le même ordi). Ce n'est donc pas une question d'âge.

Non c'est parfait malbo, comme suivi à des question spas forcement facile, rien à dire.
Pour l'instant je vais essayer de m'habituer à cette version et on verra dans le temps.Mais pour le moment elle a l'air d’être stable sur mon système.
