USB marche... marche pas

J'ai sur mon ordi un lecteur de multicarte branché sur un usb interne.

Lorsque je lance linux (Hoary), mon lecteur est detecté (il est present dans lsusb), lorsque je met une carte mémoire elle marche, et au bout de quelque seconde plus rien, mon lecteur n'existe plus quand je fait lsusb (alors que mon scanner en usb y est toujours et marche toujours !!). Je n'ai plus acces à ma carte dans /media/usbdisk/ Bref ca ne marche plus. Et pareil avec ma cle usb...

Bref pour le moment à chaque fois que je veux lire un truc sur ma carte mémoire ou sur ma clé je suis obligé de redémarer l'ordi et en plus il ne faut pas que le fichier rechercher soit tros gros à copier.

Si quelqu'un à une idée, se serai cool...

dans une console tapes tail -f /var/log/message
et inséres une carte dans le lecteur.

et donnes le résultat.

Dans mon cas, j'ai constaté que ce genre de problèmes survenait surtout si je faisais autres choses en même temps qu'utiliser ma clé usb 2, en particulier solliciter ma carte TV.

Comme j'utilise un vieil ordinateur (P2 400 MHz), on m'a orienté vers un problème d'alimentation insuffisante (250W), chose qui me semble plausible puisqu'évidemment la clé usb vient pomper de la puissance sur l'alimentation du pc ...

Voir cette piste de ton côté car je ne sais pas ce qu'il en est de l'âge de ton installation...

Peux-tu préciser le type de mémoire ? (j'ai un problème avec les memory stick pro)

Merci de vos réponse, alors je ne pense pas que ça vienne de mon alim, mon ordi est presque neuf et mon alim est une 400W... J'ai comme matériel une carte mère Asus A7N8XE delux avec un 2500+... Pour mon mulitcarte il se branche sur un USB2 insterne à ma carte mère. Le problème m'arrive aussi bien avec une mémory stick qu'avec une smart media.

J'ai essayé déjà de la monter manuelement mais il en détecte même pas le matériel du coup ça ne marche pas.

Alors après plusieurs recherche et essai, j'arrive a faire fonctionner ma cle usb. En fait elle était formatée en fat16, je l'ai reformaté en fat32 et maintenant plus aucun problème pour ma clé.

Par contre pour mon multicarte, vu que le problème est le même, je me suis dit hop je formate ma carte mémoire en fat 32 (elle est aussi en fat16) et ça marchera, sauf que lorsqu'elle est formaté en fat16 elle ne marche plus dans mon appareil photo numérique.

Est ce que quelqu'un à une idée pour que la fat16 marche ?

Pour ma part j'ai le même problème :

- alors que mon lecteur usb sony de cartes memory stick (memory stick reader/writer) de type MSAC - US1 semble être reconnu (mais en suis-je sûr ?:/) au moins indentifié par le "device manager" lors de l'introduction d'une carte, la dite carte ne se monte pas toute seule.

- paradoxalement la même carte dans mon appareil (sony cyber-shot DSC-P72) est parfaitement reconnue et se monte automatiquement.


Pour le côté pratique et la fonction écriture je voudrais bien utiliser le lecteur.

Une idée???????
