Problème Gnome-shell et cinnamon

Bonjour,
Je voudrais essayer gnome-shell, je l'ai installé mais quand je veux ouvrir une session "Gnome" j'ai juste un fond d'écran, le poste de travail et la corbeille.
Si je lance gnome-shell --replace j'obtiens :

J'ai installé cinnamon, pour voir et même genre de résultat (bureau+2 icônes, aucun panel, aucun menu, aucune "hot" zone en haut à gauche, rien) :

J'utilise un compte de test, créé pour l'occasion. Le problème semble avoir un rapport avec un agent d'authentification (kesako?)

Est-il normal que, dans ma liste de sessions, je ne voie mention ni de gnome-shell ni de cinnamon ?

Unity marche, hélas, très bien. Actuellement, j'utilise compiz + cairo-dock reconverti en panel + tint2 (la session se nomme cairo-dock !?)

J'utilise une nvidia GTS240 sur Oneiric/64.
