Steam Fallout 3

Bonjour,
J'ai acheté Fallout 3 GOTY via Steam.
Installé Steam.
Choisi Proton 4.11-13 (la dernière version 5 ne lance même pas le jeu.)
Tombé sur le problème "Turn windows features on or off [...] configure microsoft.NET framework..."
Cherché sur diverses discutions
Essayé toutes les combinaisons possibles de changement de répertoire du xlive.dll
Le jeu plante après "Nouvelle partie>Oui"
...
Quelqu'un? big_smile

Lance Steam en ligne de commande (steam dans un terminal) puis lance Fallout 3. Au moment où il plante, donne le retour qu'il y a dans le terminal.

Salut à tous!
Alors, j'ai lancé Steam en terminal, lancé le jeu, il a planté mais rien ne s'est passé dans le terminal.

Beh j'ai fait la manip de copie du xlive.dll
La commande du launcher
Mais rien de mieux.
Pour la partie du .INI, là j'y comprend rien sad

Mais est-ce que tu as essayé les options indiquées par exemple par le rapport le plus récent : désactiver D3D11, désactiver Esync, utiliser les grandes adresses ? Les deux dernières ne sont pas forcément utiles selon les distros mais désactiver D3D11 mériterait d'être testée.

La gestion des options se fait via des variables qui sont expliquées sur le GitHub de Proton (en bas de la page). Il faut les déclarer en choisissant une commande personnalisée dans les propriétés du jeu sur Steam (Propriétés → Définir les options de lancement) et ajouter %command% après. Pour l'option en question, les options de lancement seraient donc :

PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%

Alors, avec seulement la commande que tu m'as laissé, le jeu ne se lance même plus.
Dois-je essayer de mettre les trois commandes à la suite? Je les sépares avec %command%?

Alors là ...
J'ai tenté de relancer via Proton 5, sans aucune commande de lancement, et dans les options du jeu maintenant il me trouve une NVIDIA Geforce 7900GS ...
Et en lançant le jeu je tombe sur l'erreur "Failed to initialize renderer . Unknown error creating the Gamebryo Renderer"
T'y comprends quelque chose toi?

Non, %command% doit être présent une seule fois, à la fin. Et il faut mettre une valeur à chaque variable pour l'activer (1, ou la désactiver si elle l'est par défaut : 0) :

PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%

abelthorne, alors avec la commande que tu m'as laissé.
(Je suis repassé sur Proton 4 et quelque aussi. Du coup le lancement du jeu relance une config qui, au moment d'installer microsoft.NET framework, m'ouvre une fenêtre d'erreur type " You must use " turn windows features on or off" in the control panel to install or configure Microsoft.NET framework 3.0 x64")
Le jeu crashe toujours...

J'ai refais un linux neuf 18.04.4 avec un Wine neuf également.
Installation de Fallout 3 (avec des erreurs que je ne comprends pas) mais qui se lance finalement (avec Q4wine..)

C'est Wine 3.0 que tu utilises ? Ce serait pas mal de tester avec une version plus récente, celle-là commence à dater sérieusement.

Note que si tu es en 18.04 et que tu veux installer Wine 5.x avec le dépôt WineHQ, il va falloir aller chercher les paquets pour libfaudio0 là et les installer avant (libfaudio0_19.07-0~bionic_amd64.deb dans amd64 et libfaudio0_19.07-0~bionic_i386.deb dans i386).

Q4wine ? Ah la vache, ça date !

Si tu veux une interface pour Wine, tu devrais plutôt regarder du côté de Lutris. En plus, il propose des scripts adaptés pour Fallout 3 et Fallout 3 GOTY (versions GOG).

Si tu veux installer une version de Wine à jour, commence par donner le retour de :

apt-cache policy wine*

Ça va permettre de voir les paquets de Wine installés pour les supprimer (sinon ils seront en conflit avec l'installation des autres). Et n'installe pas Lutris tout de suite, il faut d'abord s'occuper de Wine.

Non, ne télécharge pas de DEBs. On va :
- supprimer le Wine éventuellement installé depuis les dépôts ;
- installer deux paquets manquants indispensables mais absents des dépôts 18.04 ;
- ajouter le dépôt officiel de WineHQ ;
- installer Wine.

Et n'installe pas Lutris maintenant, il faut d'abord s'occuper de Wine.
