il lui est arrivé des choses bizarres à sdc car suite à ma manip "dd", pour laquelle j'avais fait très attention avec of=sdd et non sdc, il a été complètement écrasé, pourquoi ?? (heureusement que ce n'était pas sdb) avec dedans 2 fichier EFI et SYSTEM.

Non car il devrait être dans une partition spéciale dans sda je suppose
j'ai juste écrasé celui généré par Chrome OS dans le disque de Backup de 1 To
De plus à priori je ne fonctionne qu'en MBR car je ne pense pas que EFI marche sur ce PC de 2010. De toute façon j'ai installé Ub18 en "procédure MBR", j'ai oublié le terme linuxien !

en fait je constate que mon ex sdc (Backup de 1 To) a été remplacé par le chrome OS (suite à la commande dd, forcément) qui aurait dû être sur la clé de 8 Go que j'avais prévue pour cela mais il y a eu une erreur d'aiguillage
et ce disque a donc reçu les programmes du live chrome OS avec EFI et System et tout le reste a été écrasé
et c'est celui-là que j'ai reformaté pour éviter que chrome OS ne traine dessus

Petite question afin que je ne recommence pas ce que je ne pensais pas être une erreur.

Pour ce genre de manip que je sais dangereuse, faut-il contrôler Gparted avec fdisk ?
ou bien les 2 donnent-ils le même résultat ce qui me paraitrait logique !

Maintenant  que j'ai démarré sur la clé, je reprends les questions en attente
J'avais déjà fait ue photo de cette commande, mais c'était forcément tronqué. Cette fois j'ai pu recopier depuis le Terminal et c'est complet

Bref : pour la raison que tu évoques, sdd, supposé être ma clé de 8 Go, est devenue mon Backup de 1 To.
Pourtant c'était bien ça dans Gparted, faudra-t-il que je vérifie avec "fdisl -l" à l'avenir ? pour ne pas trembler avant de la lancer ànouveau ... si je je la lance !!

Oui, il faut vérifier avant de lancer si gparted, fdisk ou autre (lsblk -f) donne le bon nom du disque. Sinon tu prends les noms /dev/disk/by-id qui ne changent pas.

Windows et linux sont installés en mode legacy?

Oui c'est ce que je pense car sur
sda Windows tourne bien
sdb Data Perso impec
sdd je suis en train de recopier tout mon Data Perso sur ce disque de Backup et ça se passe bien et rapidement

La question c'est comment je sors de là ?
Si vous (Naziel et toi) n'avez pas de solution (je laisse encore mijoter) ...

je restaure sda depuis ma sauvegarde Partimage
éventuellement je restaure aussi mon MBR que j'avais aussi sauvegardé
solution 2
je réinstalle Ub18.04, mais ça m'embêterais car je l'ai beaucoup paramétré, mais bon ... s'il le faut  je le ferai, mais pour le moment je procrastine !!

Problème résolu. J'ai réinstallé Ubuntu 18.04.2
En effet j'ai conscience que vous avez déjà passé beaucoup de temps avec moi et je me suis dit que vous aviez sûrement envie de faire autre chose et ... moi aussi !!
Après réunion au sommet avec moi-même, il a été décidé que malgré tout le paramétrage à refaire, ça serait plus simple et plus rapide  de réinstaller car ça remettra tout d'aplomb.

Je voudrais, avant de vous quitter ... pour cette fois !!  remercier tous ceux qui m'ont aidé. Je pense que c'était un problème vicieux entièrement généré par ma faute !! roll

J'ai au moins appris une chose : les sdx ne sont pas toujours dans le même ordre SURTOUT si on boote sur une live key ce qui était le cas.
