Problème affichage (drivers?) carte graphique AMD Radeon rx 580
Bonjour à tous,
Je suis sur Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS et je viens de remplacer ma vieille carte graphique par une amd Radeon rx 580. Au démarrage, écran de très mauvaise résolution, assez flou. J'ai pensé que c'était un problème de drivers, j'ai donc essayé d'installer le driver propriétaire d'AMD mais gros problème, au redémarrage je me retrouve incapable d'accéder à ma session ubuntu. J'y ai passé des heures et la seule solution que j'ai trouvé a été de désinstaller le driver depuis le terminal (ctrl+alt+f3 depuis la page de login).
Après une recherche, je vois que les drivers préinstallés sur ubuntu sont censés être très bien, voire mieux, que les propriétaires. Mais ma résolution est vraiment horrible, donc où est le problème? J'ai vérifié et le bon driver est bien utilisé il me semble. Mon écran est une télévision que j'utilise comme moniteur, mais je n'avais aucun souci avec mon ancien gpu.
J'ai passé la journée là dessus et je suis découragée. Si quelqu'un a une idée de ce qui ne marche, je vous remercie énormément!

Ton installation date de Trusty (14.04) et a été mises à niveau vers 16.04puis 18.04.
Pour vérifier si la gestion de ta carte est meilleur dans une session neuve, peux tu démarrer en live session avec l'ISO actuelle de Bionic ?

Merci beaucoup de ta réponse !
Je suis surprise car j'ai installé ubuntu il y a seulement une semaine, avec un logiciel de type unetbootin et, à priori, avec la bonne version. En démarrant sur la live usb que j'ai toujours, la qualité est la même et ça ressemble bien à Bionic... Si tu penses que je dois refaire un live usb (voire réinstaller) à partir de l'iso originel je peux faire ça ce soir en rentrant du taff. Je trouve quand même ça curieux ?

Ton écran est actuellement en résolution 1360x768. Or, Xrandr, indique qu'il y a une résolution de 1920x1080 disponible.
Lances le gestionnaire de paramètres et ouvres Écrans pour choisir cette autre résolution. Dis nous ce qui en résulte.

J'avais déjà essayé cette option. Je l'ai tout de même refaite et le résultat est le même, couleurs délavée, icônes pixélisées malgré la différence de résolution. Au final, la résolution précédente est plus lisible...

En cherchant un peu, car j'ai le souvenir d'avoir lu qu'il existe un pilote graphique amdgpu-pro, j'ai trouvé cette page qui confirme. Actuellement, tu utilises le pilote amdgpu.
Pour vérifier, il faudrait que tu démarres en session live avec une ISO de la 18.04.2. La, vérifies avec cette commande, le pilote utilisé :
lspci -nnk | grep VGA -A 12
Tu verras si l'affichage est meilleur.

Merci encore. J'ai réalisé grâce à toi que je m'étais mélangé les pinceaux. C'était en essayant d'installer la version pro de amdgpu que je m'étais retoruvée bloquée hors de ma session. La situation s'est réitérée... J'ai du désinstaller manuellement amdgpu-pro pour pouvoir à nouveau accéder à ma session. Lorsque j'ai fait l’installation, tout avait l'air de fonctionner à part un message de warning : amdgpu dkms failed for running kernel. C'est au redémarrage que le problème s'est posé.
J'ai ressorti un disque dur sur lequel j'ai windows 10. J'ai installé les pilotes propriétaires dessus et même problèmes d'affichage...Pourtant le gestionnaire Radeon fonctionne et je peux modifier certains critères. La qualité est toujours aussi mauvaise et ressemble exactement à ce que j'ai sur ubuntu. Qu'en penses-tu ? Le problème pourrait-il venir d'ailleurs, genre hardware? Le cable HDMI endommagé/l'écran non supporté? Ce qui m'inquiète c'est que mon problème ressemble vachement à une absence de drivers...
Merci encore pour toutes tes réponses, si tu as d'autres idées je suis preneuse.
PS : je vais essayer de changer de cable et d'écran dans la journée pour voir si ça change quelque chose.

Changer de câble HDMI est une bonne idée. Il arrive que certains soient mal foutus et pas bien compatibles.
