Ubuntu 12.04 ne démarre pas, Grub accesssible

Bonjour à tous,

J'ai un disque dans lequel il n'y a que Ubuntu 12.04, pas de deuxième système.
Il marchait très bien dans l'ancien PC qui est complètement mort.
J'ai un vieux laptop dont je ne me sers pas qui trainait donc j'ai mis le disque dedans.
Il ne boot pas directement sur Ubuntu, il affiche le grub 1.99-21.
Si je choisis le Ubuntu 3.2.0-60 generic il reste bloqué sur un écran noir avec le curseur qui clignote. Il prend mes frappes au clavier en affichant ce qui est tapé mais ne prend pas de commande.
Si j'entre dans le recovery, y a les options resume fsck grub etc. Réparer le grub ne fait rien, resume fait la même chose avec l'écran noir.

Donc je télécharge l'iso de boot-repair, je lance le réparateur de démarrage et j'ai une boite de dialogue "Veuillez activer un dépôt contenant les paquets [grub2] dans les sources de logiciels de Ubuntu 12.04.04 LTS (sda1). Puis réessayez"
Et en même temps on me demande "Install software additionally or only from these sources?" Pour ajouter des sources de téléchargement de je ne sais quels paquets.

A priori le grub est bon, comment faire booter?

La version 12.04 precise est périmée.

Depuis le 28 avril 2017, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS est en fin de vie (end of life, EOL). Elle ne profite plus de nouvelle mise à jour de sécurité, et les paquets logiciels pour cette version sont déplacés dans des serveurs d'archive. Pour continuer à recevoir des mises à jour de sécurité, il est vivement recommandé de mettre à niveau votre version d'Ubuntu vers une version activement soutenue.

Je sais que la version est périmée.
Le disque a un comportement assez spécial, j'ai déjà testé en installant par exemple Ubuntu sur un autre disque, je mets la séquence de boot dans le bios avec l'usb en premier, ça boote direct sur le disque en usb.
Ce disque là il m'affiche le grub, j'ai plusieurs kernel de Ubuntu qui me sont proposés, peu importe lequel je choisis il bootera sur un autre disque branché en sata.
Qu'est-ce qui détermine dans Ubuntu que l'OS doit booter? J'ai vérifié dans gparted, le flag "boot" est coché.

Les fichiers de démarrage de [Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. Puis sélectionnez cette partition via l'option [Partition /boot séparée :] de [Réparateur de démarrage]. (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/partition_boot)

J'aurais tendance à dire qu'en ayant complètement changé de matériel, il est très possible qu'Ubuntu ne retrouve pas ses petits pour démarrer : les pilotes ne sont pas forcément adaptés, et ça doit coincer quelque part à cause de cela.

Je dirais bien que le plus simple serait d'installer une version à jour d'(X)Ubuntu, à tester en live avant installation pour t'assurer de la compatibilité matérielle.
