Problème 'grub' ACER ASPIRE ES
Bonjour,
Je souhaite installer définitivement Ubuntu sur un Acer ASPIRE ES. Il ne démarre que si la clé USB est insérée et Ubuntu est désinstallé à chaque extinction de l'ordinateur.
Je présume qu'il s'agit d'un problème en rapport avec le boot. L'ordre de démarrage est actuellement le suivant :
1. USB FDD
2. HDD: TOSHIBA MQ0&ABD100
3. ATAPI CDROM: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUE1N
4. Network Boot-IPV4
5. USB HDD: USB DISK 3.0
6. USB CDROM:
7. Network Boot-IPV6:
8. EFI File Boot 0: Shimx64efi
Quel est le bon ordre de démarrage ? Si ce n'est pas cela l'origine du problème, que faut-il faire ?

si tu utilises un live usb, c'est fortement probable que ce soit usb hdd ...
mais le live usb n'est qu'un live, pour qu'ubuntu soit permanent il faut l'installer sur disque

Bonsoir,
J'ai essayé avec USB HDD et le disque dur en premier, mais ça ne change rien. Donc, mon hypothèse que c'était un problème de BIOS était fausse. Peut-être faut-il changer le titre de la discussion.
Le problème est que, pour une raison qui m'échappe, chaque extinction ou redémarrage de l'ordinateur ramène à la session live comme si Ubuntu n'avait jamais été installé. Je suis pourtant scrupuleusement les indications de la documentation.
Quelqu'un a-t-il une idée à proposer ?

Je sais pas si t'as installé ubu, mais dans ton boot-order on a cela en derniere position:
8. EFI File Boot 0: Shimx64efi
Soit c'est ta clef (ou dvd), soit ton installation sur le DD.

ha je n'avais pas compris que 15mai2016 avait deja installé ubuntu ...
la raison du redemarrage sur le live est : pas de grub au secteur de boot du disque dur : il est possible que grub ait ete installé sur la live usb !

J5012 avait raison : le probleme est l'absence de grub.
J'essaye depuis cette nuit avec la commande sudo apt-get install grub, mais apres plusieurs heures l'installation n'est toujours pas terminee.Que faire ?

Je tape la commande, il cherche, il trouve et me demande si je veux continuer. Je tape 'Y' (oui), il commence queque chose... et reste ensuite bloque des heures sur la meme ligne.

il repond
grub install (GNU-GRUB 0.97)
Est-ce que cela veut dire qu'il a installe grub ou seulement qu'il a telecharge le paquet ?

Le resultat a ete la creation d'un fichier /boot.grub/menu.lst qui n'existait pas jusqu'alors
- le gros souci est qu'il semblerait que grub 0.97 soit obsolete.

c'est bien d'expédier le rapport bisnext, mais tu aurais pu un peu expliquer les difficultés que tu as rencontrées pour nommer le fichier de boot.
Je vais le regarder.

Note : je cherche à faire redémarrer sous Ubuntu un vieux ordinateur qui est censé avoir été rendu "en état sortie d'usine". La manipulation que je veux faire est en apparence simple : installer Ubuntu 14.04.5. Sur le moment ça marche, mais l'extinction de l'ordinateur ramène à zéro. Mon hypothèse que le problème venait de l'ordre des priorités dans le BIOS était fausse. Il semblerait plutôt que l'ordinateur ne parvient pas à créer un dossier racine.

Il répond
The program 'grub' is not currently installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install grub
J'obéis aux instructions et installe grub. Je demande ensuite
grub-install -v
Il répond
grub install (GNU GRUB 0.97)
Je tape
sudo update-grub
Il répond qu'il ne peut pas trouver le dossier /boot/grub/menu.lst, puis le crée une fois ma permission donnée.
C'est là que les ennuis commencent : dans la table des partitions, il y a bien /dev/sda1 en efi (partition de démarrage) et dev/sda3 en swap, mais dev/sda2 qui devrait être la racine reste obstinément marquée "ne pas utiliser la partition".
Quand j'essaie
sudo grub-install /dev/sda1
l'ordinateur répond
Could not find device for /boot: Not found or not a block device
Même chose quand j'essaie
sudo grub-install /dev/sda2

le block device pour grub n'est pas sur la partition mais sur le disque
si le disque dur principal est indicé en sda :
sudo grub-install /dev/sda
mais si tu as un dossier efi
tu devrais installer en fait grub-efi
sudo apt-get install grub-efi
