Quel chemin suivre pour un dualboot? Si possible?
Bonsoir,
Voila 2h que je cherche des informations sur ce forum qui est ( trop ) bien rempli pour le coup car j'ai trouver plein de tutoriel, explication...etc mais aucune réponse claire a mes questions et j'avoue que j'y comprends pas grand chose pour l'instant surtout !
Voila j'aimerais installer Ubuntu 16.04.1L en dual-boot avec Windows 10, j'ai essayer de démarrer sur une clé USB mais cela m'affiche un ecran noir avec un texte en anglais qui me demande de taper TAB pour afficher les commandes d'aide et avec un " grub " a la suite duquel je peux taper une ligne un peu comme le CMD sous Windows mais en plein ecran; quand j'ai vue ça j'ai un peu pris peur et j'ai donc décider de chercher ici qu'elle était la meilleure façon d'installer Ubuntu en dualboot disons la plus simple tout en gardant mon windows tranquille et quand je démarre le pc il me proposer Ubuntu ou Windows!
Hors je suis tomber sur plein de façon différente ou encore des sujets qui parler de dual boot d'autre non certains de disque EFI ou non en fonction du matériel ( ou système de démarrage pas trop bien compris )...et j'en passe...!
Voila du coup j'aimerais savoir ce que vous préconisez pour "préparer" au mieux on va dire la machine a accueillir Ubuntu en dual boot sans abîmé ou même toucher a mon Windows ( il sera installer sur un disque dur different du Windows mais sur un disque dur utilisé par le Windows, mon Windows est installer sur mon SSD et je stocke tout sur un HDD de 1TO, j'y est partitionner dessus 60GO en NTFS pour Linux, HDD qui n'est d'ailleurs pas détecté par "Unetboutin" ) J'aimerais donc qu'au démarrage on me propose d'aller sur Ubuntu ou Windows, et que si l'un crash je puisse toujours accéder au boot donc que ce sois ni gérer par l'un ni par l'autre!
Windows n'était pas préalablement installer pc monter par moi même, Windows 10 pro d'installer actuellement!
Voici les composants qui pourrait vous aidez :
Asus Z97-PRO GAMER
Crucial MX100, 128 Go, SATA III ( ou est installer le windows )
Western Digital Caviar Blue, 1 To ( une partition est faite dessus pour Linux )
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0, 4 Go
DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws X, 4 x 4 Go, 2133 MHz, CAS 9 ( je précise car j'ai lu qu'avec plus de 4GO il n'y avait pas forcément besoin de swap )
Intel Core i5-4690K (3.5 GHz)
En espérant que vous puissiez m'aider ou juste me rediriger vers des tutoriels qui vous sembles le plus approprier a ma demande merci d'avance ^^

Bonjour Pall,
Effectivement les système Gnu/Linux ont la réputation d'être souple pour les installations. Mais, a part les supports, l'installation reste "standard" .
Que ce soit via une clé USB ou CD/DVD etc ... la même installation est lancé.
La seule différence va être dans la préparation de ta clé USB.
Premièrement : Installation de Ubuntu sur une clé USB, je te conseil Unetbootin qui est multi-plateforme et très symple d'utilisation.
Deuxièmement : Préparation de ton disque dur qui va accueillir Ubuntu. ( mais apparemment tu l'as déjà fait ).
Troisièmement : Relancer le pc avec la clé usb et suivre les indications...
Quatrièmement : Profiter de ta nouvelle distribution
C'est en effet un sujet que j'ai, sans doute, le plus vu sur ce forum.
Il y a beaucoup de site qui propose un " pas-a-pas" de l'installation et je te laisse chercher par toi-même.
Il y'a même des vidéos sur le sujet ...( celui la c'est cadeau )
Tiens nous au courant si tu bloque vraiment a un endroit.

C'est vrai que je n'est pas chercher plus loin que ce forum, il y a tellement d'information que je me suis dis que c'était le mieux mais justement c'est difficile de démêler ce qui peu m’être intéressant ou non!
Enfin bref pour en revenir au sujet j'ai réussi a régler le problème de ( ou du, je sais pas ) " grub " quand je démarrer sur la clé, un problème aussi bête que ce qu'il fût simple a corriger : formatage en FAT32!
J'ai ensuite booté sur ma clé et quand j'arrive sur mon choix d'installation ( cote a cote, partition ) j'étais pas sur du coup je suis revenu j'ai lu ce tuto : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/part … eur_ubuntu
Je pense avoir compris je bloque pas vraiment mais j'ai peur de faire une connerie donc je préfère demander pour être sur, dans mon cas, si je ne veux pas installer sur le même disque que windows je suis obliger d'aller dans la parti de partition ' autre ' que je crée un swap et une racine, mais du coup au démarrage je ne pourrais pas choisir entre Ubuntu et Windows je dois donc crée également boot ou BIOS-boot c'est bien ça?

Fais bien les essais de tous les logiciels que tu veux utiliser en live session avant d'installer ta distribution.

Si tu as vraiment peur de faire une boulette, tu débranches ton SSD (juste le cordon SATA) qui contient windows, tu installes ton ubuntu sur la partition que tu as préparée, tu n'auras pas de grub au démarrage.
C'est pas plus mal selon moi, je tourne sans grub pour mon dual boot.
Tu entres dans ton bios setup (F2 je crois sur Asus) et tu choisis le disque dur de démarrage par défaut (SSD Win ou Ubuntu), et quand tu veux changer à n'importe quel démarrage, tu appuies sur la touche clavier du selecteur de Boot ... Et voilà.

Bonjour,
Je te prie de prendre connaissance de ce tuto : Installer Ubuntu en mode EFI ou en mode BIOS
Ce serait utile que tu démarres ton ordi sur la LiveUSB pour faire une session live (choix "Try Ubuntu..."), que tu fasses un Boot-Info depuis cette session live et que tu donnes l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. L'examen de ce Boot-Info permettra de savoir si ton Windows 10 est installé en mode EFI ou en mode non-EFI (mode Bios classique) et aussi de vérifier qu'il n'y a pas d'obstacle apparent qui pourrait nuire à la cohabitation de Ubuntu et Win10.

je stocke tout sur un HDD de 1TO, j'y est partitionner dessus 60GO en NTFS pour Linux,
Linux peut tourner sur du NTFS mais tes 60go devront être formaté en EXT4.
Comme dit Malbo, un boot-info serait le bienvenue pour te guider.

Malbo t'en diras plus que moi.
Car pour moi, du boot-info :
Windows est installé sur le ssd (sdb) en mode efi
Ton HDD (sda) a une table ms-dos avec un bout de windows installé en legacy (pour la récupe, je suppose); j'y vois ta partition pour linux en ntfs car tu as mis le label "linux".
En l'état, ton dual-boot devra ou devrait passer par le boot-menu de ton bios uniquement.

Du coup si j'ai bien compris je devrais accéder au linux par le bios? Ce qui n'est pas très pratique Mais si y'a pas le choix c'est qu'un détail en sois!

Bonsoir.
Comme l'a dit luxmars ton bios est positionné pour booter en EFI et windows est installé sur le ssd en EFI.
si tu pouvais permuter les cables de connexion afin que le ssd devienne sda et le disque dur sdb cela devrait être jouable sans avoir besoin de reformater le disque dur, d'y créer une table de partition gpt puis une partition fat32 de 35 Mo d'y mettre un drapeau boot puis d'y créer un répertoire ayant le nom EFI
Sinon tu devras jongler en permanence entre une installation legacy et une installation EFI. Ce qui finit par être très lassant.
Pour info, tu confonds la date de fabrication de boot-info avec la date d'execution

Tout est faisable, mais je vais attendre la réponse de Malbo et voir ce qui parait le plus simple, je souhaite installer Ubuntu pour une utilisation très basique 1/2 programmes ciblé j'ai pas envie de me prendre la tête pendant 100 ans si pour faire simple je dois passer par le bios en démarrant ça me dérange pas!
Parce que si on me propose plusieurs solution j'en reviens a ce que j'expliquer sur mon premier post, plein de solution mais comment savoir la quelle choisir et que faire dans quel cas d'installation ^^ Après je suis assez débrouillard en informatique, avec un tuto basique ou une marche a suivre dans l'ordre je devrais m'en sortir aussi!
Mon plus gros souci c'est la préparation quoi, par exemple pour les 60GO en EXT4 j'étais pas au courant tu vois, après installer par une clé usb je sais le faire.. j'ai un windows installer par moi même comme depuis longtemps.
Sinon tu devras jongler en permanence entre une installation legacy et une installation EFI. Ce qui finit par être très lassant.
Ah oui c'est vrai que ça peu être lassant, utilisation basique mais régulière, je penser qu'il me suffirait d'aller dans le bios et de booté sur le HDD

Sans problème.
Mais 30 Go en ext4, cela suffit.
Puis une partition linux-swap de la taille de la RAM si tu souhaites activer l'hibernation.
Le reste en NTFS avec un point de montage /Windows si l'installateur l'a encore dans sa liste.
Si tu n'as pas fais un multiboot Windows, tu peux probablement. faire du ménage dans les OS du disque dur.

Pourquoi ça bloquerait l'installation? SDA = SSD, je souhaite installer Ubuntu sur mon HDD sois SDB non?
Quelqu'un a une idée puisque malbo m'abandonne Ce que tu me conseil Bougron en gros c'est de formaté en ext4, débrancher mon SDD et y brancher mon HDD a la place puis simplement booté sur la clé usb et installer linux sur la partition ext 4 avec swap + racine?

Je pense que MALBO abandonne l'idée de te donner une réponse claire comme tu l'exiges.
J'ai vu que ton disque est appelé SDA. Qu'il est formaté MSDOS. Que ton SSD est formaté GPT et apte à booter en EFI
Moi non plus, je ne sais pas si lorsque tu vas installer dans cette config, tu auras ubuntu installé en EFI ou ubuntu installé en LEGACY
Comme j'ai noté que dans le grand disque, tu avais pas mal de données personnelles, je pouvais éviter de faire la conversion du disque en GPT afin de t'éviter la perte de tes données cela serait bien.
Ce que je peux te dire avec certitude; Si tu modifies ton bios pour booter en LEGACY, au lieu de EFI et sans débrancher le SSD, tu pourras installer ubuntu facilement sur le disque SDA à condition qu'il y ait un minima de place disque disponible (environ 30 Go) ou une partition EXT4 de cette même taille et tu n'auras pas une proposition de dual boot.
Après c'est de l'incertitude. Mais c'est un choix qui pourrait au jour fonctionner. avec l'arrivée de la version 16.04.2 que je n'utilise pas encore.
A) Booter en EFI comme c'est actuellement le cas
B) Prendre l'option autre-chose"
C) Imposer le montage de la partition EFI du SSD (actuellement sur SDB) au point de montage /boot/efi
D) et constater que cela fonctionne enfin.....
C'est pour éviter ce risque avéré avec les anciennes versions et les versions actuelles que je t'ai proposé de permuter le branchement des deux supports pour que le SSD s'appelle SDA et que le disque dur s'appelle SDB.
Si tu fais cette permutation, refais un boot-info avec les deux supports branchés.
Je suis à peu près certain que l'installation EFI se fera en mettant la structure de boot dans SDA et l'OS dans SDB qui a une table de partition MSDOS en choisissant l'option "autre chose".

J'ai peu être paru un peu exigent mais j'ai du mal m'exprimer j'exige pas une réponse claire mais je cherche a savoir par quel chemin passer car il y a plein d'option a suivre..
DOnc si j'ai bien compris, dans ta première option installation rapide facile mais pas de dual boot, je devrais donc passer par le bios pour booter sur Ubuntu, par contre si j’accède pas au bios ça boot quand même tout seul sur Windows ?*
Deuxième option, quelques manips a faire ( mais ça ne me dérange pas du tout j'y arriverais du moment que je sais quoi chercher et tu m'as tout bien énumérer ) mais je disposerais du dualboot, par contre tu n'es pas sur que cela aboutisse et est-ce que cela peu fonctionner avec la version 16.04.1?

Alors ça serait bien que tu modifies ton titre pour qu'il reflète ton besoin précis en synthétisant en 80 caractères maximum quel est le problème, parce que personne ne fera une recherche sur le forum sur ton titre actuel.

Bon, mais, est-ce tant un probleme que le ssd soit en sdb plutot qu'en sda ?
Peut-on envisager un dual-boot sur le ssd (donc en mode efi) ne serait-ce que pour y mettre la partition racine ?
Le /home ira sur le DD (sda) à l'endroit déjà prévu par Pall
Quant à la swap, on s'en passe ou bien elle va sur le DD.

Lorsqu'on boote en EFi, l'installateur de ubuntu ne sait pas aller chercher la partition de boot ailleurs que dans SDA. Ce qui n'est pas le cas d'autres OS.
Il ne s'agit pas de la partition racine mais du répertoire /boot/efi d'une taille inférieure à 5Mo

J'ai installer Ubuntu hier soir, sans partition swap étant donner que j'ai 16GO de RAM!
Je ne pense pas que l'installation soit propre a 100% mais c'est fonctionnel et en fonction de sur quel disque je boot j'ai un dualboot au démarrage!

Est-ce possible d'installer un driver casque USB windows sur linux? J'explique mon casque fonctionne très bien sur linux sauf le 7.1 qui a besoin du driver pour fonctionner! C'est un plantronics 788
