Debutant Linux essaie wifi alice sans succes

Bonjour,
j'ai installé linux ubuntu depuis quelques semaines et je n'arrive pas à me connecter en Wi-fi sur mon alice box. Avec le cable ethernet ma connexion marche. Sur windows vista le wifi marche.
J'ai regardé sur le forum mais je n'arrive pas à adapter une des réponses à mon cas car il me semble que plein des facteurs comme: fabricant du box, carte wifi, poistion lunaire entrent en jeux.

Bon je suis pas spécialiste, mais voilà ce que j'ai trouvé :

Si je ne m'abuse ta carte wifi est supportée par ubuntu : http://hardware4linux.info/component/22055/

Question : est-ce que tu vois le réseau "ALICE-1950F6" dans l'applet network-manager (l'icône réseau dans la barre en haut à droite de l'écran) ?
Pour le voir, il faut être configuré en "mode itinérant"
Si oui, quelle est la force du signal ? Il vaut mieux être juste à côté de la box histoire que le problème ne soit pas dû à un signal trop faible.

Je ne sais pas expliquer pourquoi mais en me mettent en mode itinérant et en configurant la connexion en cliquant sur l'icone du 'applet network-manage' ça marche!!!!!!!
Je peux poster cette réponse un utilisant ma connexione wifi sur linux. C'est génial!
